My Sister Marlene

Hi there - I'm doing much better after my leg surgery, but that's not the reason I'm writing today. Marlene got sick on Tuesday and they took her to the hospital and she didn't come back. She was 18 years old, and she could still chase me and all the other cats and dogs in my house up until last week. I guess she was sick and we didn't know it. Daddy has a little box with her ashes in it, and he put it on a shelf with her picture and a candle. She was cool, even though she was a cat, and she put with me even when I would run across the room and jump on her head. I will talk later about my birthday - it was pretty sad because it was last week but I did get some toys and maybe Daddy will take a picture of me with my favorite one.

PS - Chloe was a very good nurse for Marlene - I put a picture up on her page that shows how she took care of her. She's usually a little brat, but she did okay this time.

Life Stinks

My Aunt Roodi came to visit and I hurt my leg and felt bad the whole week - the peanut butter and jelly toast was pretty good, but I was pretty cranky. To top it off, every time Aunt Roodi came over to love me up, my baby sister, the Chloemonster would run over and push me out of the way and jump on top of me, and my leg hurt, and let's just say it was a less than happy visit for me.

Anyway, the doctors said I had an ACL (I have no idea what that is), and I had to have surgery. Aunt Roodi put up a picture of me with my scar - I think chicks dig a dog with a scar - it shows them I'm tough.

Aunt Roody is coming - Aunt Roody is coming!

Yay!!!!! In case you didn't hear, Aunt Roody is coming! Jelly toast for everybody! She bought her ticket and everything...she needs to get away from New York, and take a real vacation...that's what Daddy said. She hasn't even met Chloe and Griffey yet - she can play with them a little bit, but she has to play with me the most because I am (and will always be) her favorite. I'll keep you posted on her visit - she's been a very good secretary, and must be rewarded - :-)

Speaking of dogs who do not deserve rewards - everyone seems to have forgotten what a bad, bad dog Chloe was. I thought it was all my fault about her running away (like I could have stopped her?!) - and I felt so bad that I (almost) couldn't eat. She'll tell you that I have been giving her a hard time, and indeed I have. I guess I can lay off her now, but she made me SOOO Mad!

She's back!!!

Snoop Dog here - my secretary finally got back from her trip to Europe - she told me about all the castles and churches and museums (bla bla bla). Then she told me that the people there ate a lot of meat and there was a lot of cake, too. Now I'd LOVE to go to Europe - only one problem....where is it?

Anyway, she's hard at work for me - corralling dogs, giving rosettes, sending emails and of course, finding new pictures of me to put in my Dogster Plus Photo Album.

I've gotta go - send me an email if you'd like to - my secretary is on duty (I even gave her a raise)

My Secretary is on Vacation

If any dog sends me an email or a dogster pal request between today and March 27, I won't be able to respond until the 27th because my secretary is going on a choir tour of Germany and Czechoslovakia for a week. I promise to get back to you when she gets back. I'd do it myself, but I'm a rotten typist. A big shout out to all my dawgs - Snoop Dog

Let me introduce myself

Snoop Dog here - this is my first diary ever .... and boy do I have a lot to say! First of all, look at my pictures and you will see that my main responsibility in this house is maintaining my alpha dog status. We now have 7 animals at my house - 3 dogs, 3 cats and a duck! Actually it's more like 4 dogs, since silly Feep thinks he is a dog, too. Griffey is the mutt of the house, and tells the worst jokes (see picture). He likes to run in the mud though, and we got to take a long run by the river (through tons of mud) a couple weeks ago (tell my Daddy that it's time for another one, 'kay). We just put in a picture of my sister Marlene (with me and the duck on the front porch). She used to be a big ol' fat cat, but now she's a lean mean fighting machine. Lil' Cat is the kitten who thinks that she is going to get up on MY chair (big mistake). She's cute, but she's still a cat. We don't have any pictures of Wrigley the cat, because she's afraid of Marlene and spends most of her time on top of the frig.

Now the really important part - I have a new baby sister! Her name is Chloe, and she's a Boston Terrier puppy. I needed a girl dog in my entourage, because just like my namesake, I am a babe magnet and chicks love to come over to see me when I'm with Chloe (although they must pay attention to ME first).

By the way, forget those stupid groundhogs - I did NOT see my shadow when I went outside to poop this morning, so Spring is coming soon. You heard it straight from the dog's mouth -
