Favorite Walk: Running at 60MPH on the beach in Malibu
Arrival Story: Dreamed about her and she showed up on the doorstep.
Bio: In July 2007, a Pit Bull attacked and killed Gillie on an off-leash trail at Los Angeles' popular Runyan Canyon park while in the care of our dog sitters Craig and Todd. The owner of the Pit Bull fled the scene. The dog sitter would have been better off to be equipped with MACE to fend off violent attacks from Pit Bulls. There is a wild misconception about rescued Pitt Bulls that lead people to adopt only to find innate violent behaviors present themselves. The irony is that the owners of the Pit Bulls always seem so surprised that their lovable Pit Bull could go on the attack. Los Angeles tends to attract a few self-involved people and dog owners who lack common external thoughtfulness that would have prevented losses like our lost pal from happening. I love L.A., but this is one example that makes me wish we had more angels here instead of some inconsiderate others.
