Arrival Story:
My daughters' friend's grandmother wanted a better home (one with a yard) for her mini poodle. We went to see her, and Ginger lay down on my feet. That was it--- she had chosen us! We took her home that night (6/22/1998)! She's been my shadow and my best friend ever since.

Bio:
Ginger was queen of the house from the moment we brought her home. But in November 2004 my son brought home a young border collie (Ender). Ginger very grudgingly accepted him. Then in June 2005 I brought home brother and sister kittens. They were a MUCH harder sell. Ginger allows them to live in her house, but she never lets them forget that she's the one and only queen!

Christmas Tag!

I was tagged by my friend from Poodle University, Ginger1. She's my bestest girlfriend on dogster!

Here are the Rules:

Because it's Christmas time there are changes to the rules. Each player needs to write a short note to Santa Paws and list 5 things on their Christmas list this year. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their letter with 5 requests. Then choose 5 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play. AND... since it's Christmas time give them each 5bones or treats.

Here's my Letter to Santa Paws :)

Hi Santa Paws! I have been an exceptionally good doggie this year! I've adjusted to the move to the new apartment, I allow those cats to live here too, and I stay out of the catbox (most of the time). And I continue to be my Mom's shadow and best friend.

Here's what I'd like for Christmas, Santa dear!

1. A winter with NOT a lot of ice and snow!
2. The cats to leave some of their food in their bowls so I can eat it!
3. Some new Nylabones.
4. A new dog bed that the cats stay OUT of!
5. An endless supply of Sam's Yams!
6. Most of all...I'd like all the doggies and kitties who need them to find forever homes!

Woofs and wags to you, Santa! Love, Ginger

So Mom and the cats and I have been living downstairs in our really wonderful basement apartment since 11/24. Doesn't look like a basement! It looks like HOME! We're going to like it here!

Thanks to Hazel Lucy and all who "purrrred" for me!

I just want to thank a very special cat over at Catster. Her name is Hazel Lucy and she started and maintains a list of cats (and some dogs) who are "in need of serious purrrring". She put me on the list a couple weeks ago when I went to the vet's to have 7 (!) lumpy-bumpies removed. I had to stay overnight, and then wait several days to get the biopsy results (which were negative, thank dog!). Anyway, all those purrrrs from Hazel Lucy and her friends helped me feel sooooooo much better! Thanks you all, especially you Hazel Lucy!
