Kirby Said Goodbye Today

I'm so sad to post this, but Kirby passed away tonight at the emergency vet clinic. The poor little guy had been so sick his entire life and his little body could take no more. He will be deeply missed not only as my dog, but as my "fur-kid" and my sweetest little companion. He was truly the best dog I had ever had the pleasure of having as a part of my life.

Got Vision Problems?

Hi guys,

I justed started a new online group here on Dogster called "Blind Dogs & Cats." It's for any dog or cat (and their owner) who is blind or has eye problems. We can chat about our issues, share tips and stories, and just generally offer support and information to each other. It's new and I'm still in the process of sending out invites, so it's pretty quiet right now. Stop on by and say ''hi" sometime!

Midnight Manicure

Some of you might notice I've had my mom add a new photo to my site here-- a photo of my new "foot bling." See, last night I woke up the whole house squealing. Turns out I must have gotten my nail snagged on something, cause I tore most of it off. I think I kinda scared everyone at first cause I bled like a character from a Hitchcock movie. I'm okay now. Mom took me to the vet this morning and they cleaned me up and gave me this swanky green bandage wrap for the rest of the day.

I'm not going to let any of the neighborhood guys know I broke my nail by accident, though. I have a reputation to keep up! I'm known as quite the tough guy in my neck of the woods. I'm planning on telling everyone I was in a bar fight and broke my nail delivering a surprise right-hook punch. Sounds better than getting it snagged in my sleep, doesn't it? All about my birthday...

Well, I got some great birthday gifts and we've added some new pictures here, too.

First of all, I was really disappointed because I figured out I wasn't getting McDonald's for my birthday dinner, but it all worked out because I had hot dogs instead :)

I got a new cow-print collar and lead, a red thermal hoodie for the rare chilly days here in Florida, and a sporty little golf shirt for my lazy summer days out on the green. See page two of my picture book-- my mom took pictures and she tells me I'm awfully handsome in them! I used to fuss a lot when mom dressed me up, but I've gotten used to it-- and I secretly kinda like my outfits (shhh... don't tell her or she'll buy more!).

That's it for now-- Gotta go get my teeth brushed and my nails filed-- I'm so pampered!
