A Sister!

I am going to be getting a sister!!!!

I met her on Sunday and she is wonderful. I even let her sniff my butt. She is part American Eskimo, part something else (Jack Russell, maybe?) and very full figured. Her name is Pennelle.

Mama told me that she was originally from a place called "West Virginia" and that she once lived with an elderly woman who had 85 other dogs. Wow!!!

Of course, this means I'll have to share my toys. Mama says we'll just have to get two of everything I have so that we will be equal. Pennelle also likes to have a crate, so we got her one this past weekend. I watched mama put it together, and we picked out a nice blanket to put in it. She folded it much better than I did.

Pennelle is getting spayed today, and having her teeth cleaned. We are nervous, but daddy says everything will be fine.

I'll keep you posted on her... we might be picking her up this weekend!

What a beautiful day it was yesterday!

Daddy was home, and I went for a walk with him. After mama got home and we had dinner, we went for ice cream. We sat in the back of the truck and I got to try some Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream (only two spoonfuls though, I wish I had my own).
Daddy went fishing this morning and I am waiting for him to come back. I didn't get to go today, even though I had my lifejacket ready. I always wear it on the boat. I fell off the boat twice on my first try, and I swam past someone else who was trying to rescue me into my daddy's arms. So now I always wear it, and I like it; I think every boat dog should have one, because you never know what could happen.
My lifejacket has a handle on top of it. Sometimes when we are out there and it is really hot, mama or daddy will pick me up by the handle and put my legs and belly in the water. I don't really like it but it always stops my panting.

Another overcast weekend..

I had my donut hole and now I'm lounging on my double decker dog bed in the entry way, waiting for my daddy. Sigh. I didn't even feel like walking. Mama had to coax me outside for my ride to the grocery store this morning. I hate the rain!
On the other hand, I have discovered air conditioning. Yes! I didn't care much for the noise at first, but boy I like it now!
All for now. Hope it is better elsewhere in the country!

It's raining again!

Another weekend of rain. A few weeks ago we had flooding, and mom and I had to get out our rain gear every few hours and go out to make sure the culverts were clear so our house wouldn't flood. Guess I'd better get out my rain slicker!

Saw that there were no Eskie groups...

My first entry!

Well, tomorrow is my third birthday; SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, nonetheless! When my people have friends over to watch the game, I get excited because they do; I have learned to jump up when the Patriots have a touchdown! It makes me sad that they will not be on TV tomorrow, but it makes me even sadder that Daddy might have to be away. I may have to wait until he gets back for my birthday.
