Look how long it has been since my last post... geesh Mum!

Hello Dogster! Bark!

Yes, its me Gator, believe it or not I am still around though Mum doesn't let me poke nearly enough. I have been very busy playing with all my dachshund friends and being a good leader of our meetup group. This Sunday as a matter of woof is our Wienie-tines Day party. We are going to exchange gifts, take pictures and go on a nature hike through the woods. I even had to get this vest to carry my own water dish... doggie labor laws?

Its been so long and I have so much to say but its late here in Florida.

I'll just have to dream on it under the covers and post in another year... just kidding! Hopefully...

Until the next poke!

Woof to all my friends! I'm sorry I've been gone so long, Mom and Dad got married and it was hard work planning such a big party. I was gonna be the ring puppy but someone thought that this little human would look better in the monkey suit then me... go figure, it's okay ... I didn't want to wear that silly thing anyway.

Anyway, I recently went to the VET, or the evil man in the white coat as I so fondly refer to him from time to time. Since Mom works there with him I got to spend the day hanging out with all my friends in the kennel until she got off. But to the point, he told me I was a happy, healthy puppy! Duh! Isn't that why we wag our tails? Humans...

So I got a good report card and no medicines to take, yay for being healthy!

In other news, we moved. What a task it was to play in all the boxes before Mom and Dad packed them, it tired me out! They didn't understand it was my official weinie job to properly check the boxes for my squeaky friends! How would they breath in there!!! Oh my dog!

Anyway, I think thats the end of the tail for now.

Bark again soon,

Gator "the potater"

Dogster, help! Momma is gonna feed me to Santa Claws!

What Mom? He' doesn't want to EAT me? He wants to MEET me?

Oh, well that is a different tail then isn't it. *feels embarrassed*

But who is Santa Claws and why does he want to meet ME?

Up on our rooftop,
paw paw paw...
WOOF! goes good ole Sants Claws.
Jumping off the rooftop
with lots of toys
all for the little pups
Christmas joy!

Woof, bark, woof!
Who wouldn't go!?
Bark, woof, bark?
Who wouldn't go!?

Mom stop! What is he doing on our roof! *whines* I just don't understand this Santa Claws, he seems oddly to me. I will find out more about him today when I poke him at our meeting. All I nose is it has something to do with this red and white fuzzy hat and my red bandana!

If I don't return... Santa Claws was hungry!

Oooo, it's gonna be my big day!

Woof everyone, where ya been?

Momma hasn't let me write in some time, she thinks her going back to school after taking the summer off makes her important. She needs the digital barker all the time!

So we just had our September Dachshund meeting and it was so much fun although Momma gets a bit flustered with me because I intentially forget to run during the races! Hey the grass smells good and it needs sniffin.

There was plenty of yummy cookies and treats for me and my friends and Oscar celebrated his 9th birthday, old hound!

Momma is planning the October one now and its gonna be for the Hallo-wieners, we get to wear costumes and eat pup cakes, I can't wait!

Alright y'all (southern wieners can't ya tell?) I'll bark at ya soon!

Later,

Gator

Be warned! I, yes its me Gator, was under the picnic table minding my own bussines...eating some things that dropped, digging a hole, chewing a bone... when this little black and yellow creature started wiggling its antennas at me! I recognized this little bugger from pictures here on the net, usually posed on the end of a dog's nose. Little did I know these things that appear so innocent are natural born killers!!!!

He unperched himself from the bottom of the picnic table and began to do a fly by around my little head. I was just trying to say hello... or maybe eat him, but I'm sure he did not know this at the time. I lost track of the thing for just one second, one second is all! And whammmie!

I felt a terrible pain in my rear and jumped a mile hile so that all the humans knew my hiding place. I then proceeded to run around the yard whining until Mommy picked me up and promised to make it all better... yeah, okay Mom.

So my message to you is this. Never trust the little buggers, they are after you! You have to eat them before they bite you!

Be back soon!

Last night was a rough night for me. When the BBQ was over Momma, Daddy, and all my friends and I came back to the apartment. Momma and Daddy were planning on going out to see some sort of show but instead when we got here to the apartment I started hearing some loud booms in the sky. I was terrfied! No one else seemed scared of this but I felt it was my duty to bark and bark and try to scare the booms away.

They didn't go away!

So, I picked the next best thing.... I hid, under the bed, alllllll night long!

Momma and Daddy seemed to really like this light show, personally I think they are nuts! They didn't see they were living quite risky... those things coulda got em!

Yawn
Well, its time for the sleepy puppy to finally get some rest!

Write to you all soon!

Momma says its a special day tomorrow and I know then it must be so! She says we are going to a BBQ with lots of good food and yummies for me but she made sure to give me the whole lesson on why she gets off work and why I have to wear my patriotic collar. I love being an American.

You know the Dachshund is very American-like. We are kinda shaped like a hot dog, so that makes us perfect for the 4th of July holiday. -shrugs shoulders-

Dixie Doodles went to Petsmart
She didn't need no pony.
She got ribbons for her hair
Hey, pass the macaroni!

I'm so Dandy, I'm a pup
Yes, I'm so dandy
With the smart face and the paw
I keep all the ladies handy!

Alright, I'm done for now. I just wanted to wish everypup a happy 4th of July and say thank you to the troops for keeping us free and letting me have the freedom to bark my opinion!

Hoooorrrrooooo

Happy 4th of July, almost as good as my birthday!

Guess yawn what!

I am sooooo tired! It took soooo long to get to the dog park but man was it worth it! When we pulled up there were dogs all over the place and I was sooo excited to get out of the car. Daddy went and changed into his swimming trunks, (they wanted me to wear floaties...not!) and Momma was already dressed for the beach. Momma told me it was going to be fun but I didn't guess it would be this much!

So we hop hopped down out of the car with our leashes on and Momma, although I tried to tell her we was biiig dogs, took us into the small dog entrance. I think she was scared of the biiig dogs...not me though! There was this man trying to scrub the spots off this Dalmation... not sure that was gonna work, he was still scrubbing when we left!

Anyways. Then Momma took the bad leash off and we was freed!!! I was already excited at this point and me and Oscar runned all the way to the entrance to the beach, but I still didn't know what the beach was.

It was poochadice! No leashes, no halters, no problems!

So Momma set up our blankets and baskets and coolers and Daddy took me and Oscar into the water. I was scared... it was much bigger than the bath tub!
Eventually though we lightened up and guess what! I swiiiimed! And have pictures to prove it. Momma promised to post them on here as soon as she gets them onto her pooter.

I met a lot of new... wet... friends! I sniffed their butts and they sniffed mine! There were even other Dachshunds, two Oscar ones (Slinky and Chica) and a Beagle named Princess. I liked her a lot! She bayed at me! It was love... -Mom pops bubble.-

Well, I am sooooo tired that I need to go sleepies, but when I wake up I'll tell you more!!!

Later Tater,

Love Gator

Guess -jump- what -jump- I'm -jump- doing -jump- tomorrow! -pants-

Ok -deep breath-settle down....

Momma got off work tomorrow morning so Daddy is taking us to Fort de Soto Paw Playground. Momma said its a long drive, about 2 1/2 hours but if I'm good in the car I can go swimmmmmming!

I haven't ever been on a road trip and I'm sooooo excited. I already packed up my bags and such. Momma is being such a worry flea, she want's my to have a life jacket because I'm so tiny but I told her I'm a biiiiig boy and can swiiiiiim!

Oscar is coming tooooo! That means even more fun. I will have to come back and tell you all how it went and hopefully Momma will take lots of pictures of me! I'm so cuuuuute!

Hope my tail floats!
