 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 1st 1986
Likes: Buddy loved to play ball and go to the beach and bite the waves

Pet-Peeves: He was afraid of going to the vet and would tremble at my feet.

Favorite Toy: He loved the brown stuffed doggy his auntie Julie gave him

Favorite Food: He loved cheetos and pizza

Favorite Walk: The Lake in Santa Barbara

Best Tricks: Sit, stay, put all the toys on the bed waiting for mom to wake up and play.

Arrival Story: Buddy rescued me when he was 8 weeks old and I was young and naive. He shared my life for 14 wonderful years. I didn't know it until years after he became my companion that he was in fact my guardian angel. The year I finally met my husband and soul mate, cancer took Buddy away from me and my heart will always have an ache in it for the loss. Buddy lived in four different states with me, went through a slew of sub-par boyfriends, and patiently waited for me to grow up and settle down in life. He never lost patience with me, and forgave me for not spending as much time with him as I should have. Most of all, he would always climb into my lap when I was sad and he would comfort me. Buddy would watch my face closely and always knew what I was thinking or saying. He was the smartest dog I ever met and I was honored and humbled to have his company for a brief but unforgettable time.

I said goodbye one night when Mom was away on a trip for her work. I know she was sad because she wasn't with me when I left, but my Dad held me in his arms and told me he loved me. The vets in Mission Viejo were very kind, but by the time I made it to the hospital I had already found my way over the bridge. I was glad Mom and Dad found the hospital in Mission Viejo, because that's where they met Harry. Harry was a very big dog who had no hair, and wore a red velvet coat to cover his gray scaly skin. Harry's manager had given him to the pound when the new girlfriend said Harry was ugly and needed to be discarded. Mom and Dad came to see Harry often after I left them, and Harry took them for long walks behind the clinic. Harry always knew the path, and never strayed or took too long. Harry was kind and patient with my Mom and Dad. He wagged his raggedy tail when they petted him. After a few months, Harry began to grow hair again. Harry's hair grew long, and thick, and brown and shiny. The staff at the clinic had rescued Harry, and he slept on the clinic floor at night. Mom gave Harry my big soft bed after I passed, and some of my toys. The last time Mom and Dad came to see Harry, before they moved to Texas, Harry was sleeping on my pillow. When Harry stood up to tell them goodbye, three little kittens fell from his hair, where they had been sound asleep. Harry came to my Mom and put his nose over the little half door that separated the waiting area from the exam rooms. He moved slowly, but he knew my Mom when he saw her, and he knew she had come to say farewell. Mom and Dad cried when they told Harry goodbye, but their hearts were not too sad. Harry had a family of veterinarians and technicians and helpers who loved him very much. He comforted my Mom. Harry showed her how to know her path - that as long as she had dogs in her life, and love, her heart would heal and she would laugh again.
