Lisa has passed away

I know I haven't posted on dogster in awhile. But I have to report sad news. Lisa was called to the Rainbow Bridge on September 21, 2009. She has been living fine even though she had kidney disease for almost 2 years. However, her kidneys finally failed. My mom and aunt had to take her to the vet and she was put to sleep. My mom said she died peacefully. She was 17. I had her since I was a kid. I don't know life without her. But it would be selfish to keep her here, suffering, just for me. Her behaviour changed. She looked so sad and she had no energy. I hope where ever she is now, she is happier, healthier, and younger.

I love you, Lisa. You are one of a kind.

PS Be good to Princess the hamster when you are up there.

Hey, Fab Doggies

It's my Bday and I can cry if I want to, eat if I want to, sleep if I want to. You would poop too if you were a dog too!

I'm a wonderful 15 years old . And I get better with age. My human bought me doggie treats that look like doughnuts and cupcakes. Love 'em!

She also got rid of Princess! Yeah!!!!!

No, I'm just kidding. Princess is still here. Matter of fact, Princess wrote me a little song. Here it is. Ahem, "Happy birthday to Lisa. You live in a zoo. You look like a monkey and you smell like one to."

Awww, isn't she nice? Wait, I look like a monkey? I smell like one?

Excuse me, Fab Doggies. I have to go bite a hamster.

Chow,

Lisa

I Hate Tiles!

Hello, wonderful Doggies

Well, this past week was weird. My humans decided to pull out the comfortable carpet and replace it with tile. How am I suppose to take my beauty naps on tile? First, I can't sleep because of the stinky rat named Princess keeps rolling her ball towards me and now the ground is hard.

I have a special pillow, but I like to lay down where ever I feel like it. I don't want just one place to lay my aging (but still youthful) body. I want the entire floor to be comfy. Also, the floors are slippery. I feel like I'm an ice skater. Humans never ask dogs permission to change the house.

Well, I'm done complaining. I hope everyone is having a better week.

Chow,

Lisa

P.S. I met a very handsome Doberman Pincher across the street. While the tiles were being installed. At least that's one good thing about this week.

Mom is done with summer classes!

Hello, Dogsters. Mom is finished with her classes for the summer. So, she's back home. This time she will be here forever! I hope she never has to leave again. The only downside is that Princess (the ugly hamster) will be here forever to. But it's okay. If she bothers me, I'll just accidentally kick her rodent ball outside. With her in it!

Well, I have to go. Mom is taking me walking with her friend.

Chow,

Lisa

Hello, Beautiful Doggies

As you can see on my primary pic, I am ready for the beach. Thanks to my new diet and new exercise routine I have a beach ready body. I didn't have a trainer (unless you count my grandma for walking me) and I didn't take any pills. I also didn't have any surgery. These results are from my hard work.

Princess the Hamster: "Actually, Rox pimped one of her pictures again. The picture is a fake. The body is a human body! Ha! She's still fat."

Princess!!!!!!

Excuse me doggies I have to push someone's rodent ball into the middle of the street.

Chow,

Lisa

A Week of Dog Sitting

Hello, Doggies

Well, Mom finally got rid of that pesky flu last week. But she had to dog sit for her friend. So, I still couldn't have fun with her. I can't believe it. This is her last week home and then she is going back to college. I can tell she feels bad about it. She is walking me twice a day instead of once. Plus, she bought me new treats and got rid of the nasty hamster. Okay, she didn't get rid of the hamster. But a queen can dream.

My mom was dog sitting two doggies. Bitsey, a Yorkie, is three years old. She still acts like an annoying puppy. Candy, a Chihuahua mix, is a fab oldie like me.

It wasn't too bad. Those girls seemed nice. I prefer my mother all to myself. After all, I'm a high maintenance doggie and I need special attention.

Well, that's it fellow Doggies. I'll talk to you soon.

Chow,

Lisa

The Princess and I

Hello, Wonderful Doggies

My mom just finished her spring semester. She's back home for two weeks. We are having so much fun. NOT! She has a really bad cold. She probably got it from Princess the ugly hamster. Anyway, she sleeps, eats, and watches tv. I'm here dodging her coughs and sneezes. YUCK!

So, Princess and I are becoming better acquaited. I stare at her and she stares at me. I sniff her cage and She sniffs my bed. I still hate her and she still hates me. Folks, I tried; but I hate rodents and she hates dogs.

Oh, well, at least I don't feel threatened by her anymore. I'll just stay out of her way and she better stay out of mine. Please, Sickly Human, get better soon!

Chow,

Lisa

In honor of ASPCA day, I have a quote from Ghandi:

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”

Hello, Doggies

This is going to be a very short diary. All I have to say is that Princess (the rodent) bit Mom this morning. BOL!!!

Good!

Now, maybe Mom will get rid of that thing. Princess better start packing.

Lisa
