Yummmmmmmmmmm

I know I haven't writen in ages and I am SORRY :(

But...

Get this -- yesterday Daddy put my little hooman sister Katie on my back for a doggy-back ride (just playin' and bouncing on my back)... Mumma sez "That's not a good idea honey, Katie just ate". Not 10 seconds later my lil sister barfed all over my nice shiny black coat!!! Big chunky stinky baby barf! I didn't mind tho - I love rolling in stinky things... Katie just saved me the time and effort! The hoomans are planning on giving me a proper bath later tonight...

Happy New Year everydog! Hope that your new year is filled with lots of stinky things to roll in, mouth watering treats galore, and tummy rubs as often as you want 'em!

My hoomans are ditching me, going out for Chinese food and leaving me to guard the fort. They NEVER give me Chinese because me and Chinese food do NOT mix... it gives me the runs.

Any Time Now!

Yikes!

Mum went to the hospital today to see the anastesiologist about the C-Section Tuesday... when she got there she found out that she is in the early part of labor! She was 2cm dialated and having braxton-hicks contractions every 2 minutes! They gave her a shot and the contractions subsided somewhat, but the nurses did say that she could go into labor at any time now! She's still contracting, but it's not regular I guess...

This is definitley gonna be my last diary enrty for awhile -- when Katie arrives i will send news out via my best bud Tucker!

I hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer! I miss you guys!

As for me, well, Grandma Kelly is gonna stay with me Tuesday nite. Wednesday thru Saturday my Grandma Beth and the kids will be staying with me. My mum is a basket case worrying about how I'll do while she will be gone... She hopes that everyone gives me lotsa attention and is super careful of me while walking on the leash.

Mum keeps telling me she is going to miss me SOOOOOOO much and that she loves me just the same as ever. Some people around us have said that I (Sadie) am in for a huge shock and that I won't be #1 anymore, but mum sez that's just not true. Mum sez she will love me just the same, but that I will have to share her with my new sister, that's all. I know things around here are gonna be different (I can sense it!), but I'm siked to have a little sister coming...

The coolest part about this all is that Mum and dad are now home on Maternity leave for 3 whole months! Which means that there is actually more time for me and them to be together!

New Down Comforter!

Mum and dad went shopping over the weekend and bought a new down comforter for thier bed!

It reminds me of the one I chewed up when I was but a wee pup... I would NEVER do anything like that again, trust me!

I did, however, already manage to get a nice brown butt-stain on it.

Mum is not pleased... Now she understands why grandma Kelly wipes Cody's bum after he does his thing...

Speaking of Grandma, she and Grandpa Kelly are coming over later this afternoon to check out the baby's new room! I'm so excited! I NEVER get to see them without Cody around! Now I can lavish Grandpa with kisses without having to worry about Cody getting all jealous and barking at me! Woo hoo!

Nothing new yet on the baby front -- although mum has been waking me up like 18 times a night when she gets up to pee... Not on purpose mind you, but I am a pretty light sleeper. Why does she have to mark the toilet so much? Geez! And I thought I was bad with marking alot!...

Baby-Watch 2007

Well, no baby YET... but mum is scheduled to deliver in less than 3 weeks!

I figured I'd come on and type about it a bit while I still have a willing and able stenographer (that would be my mum, Erin).

[OK SADIE - GET ON WITH IT, THIS CARPAL TUNNEL IS KILLING ME!]

*Ahem*

Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that I am super siked to have this awesome little non-furry baby coming to my house and into my family!

Mum and dad assure me that while things may change, what will NOT change is thier love for me - and I truly believe them!

Mum and dad have been working wih me, getting me used to the baby's new things and letting me know that, while it's ok to eat my own toys, Katie's toys are off limits. I used to be afriad of all the new items coming into our house -- the baby swing in particular -- I had never seen anything like it! Mum sat down with me and we turned it on - she told me that I shouldn't be afraid and patted the swing to show what a good swing it was!

When mum goes in for her Cesarian, my Grandma Kelly or my uncle Danny will come and stay at our house to keep me company, feed me, take me on walkies, and love me! I'm going to miss my mum and dad something awful, but dad promised he would be back nd forth to check on me. He's even going to bring some of Katie's blankies ju so I can get a good smell of her!

Anyways, mum is giving me "the look"... It's time to sign off. I will try to get back on before Katie's birth if my typist feels up to snuff!

In the meantime - if you guys don't hear from me for awhile, well, you know why. I'm not trying to snub anyone, it's just that things are changing in my life... I will send updates to Tucker via his mum, promise!

Update - My hooman mum & sister

Hi Everypup!

I can't wait until August 1st -- that's when Mum goes on maternity leave. Her C-Section is not scheduled until August 7th, but she thought it would be nice to be at home with me for a few days before baby Katie comes. Mum is ascared that Kate will come early because she has been contracting some, but her doctor sez that it is normal at this stage of the pregnancy...

This house has been so crazy these past few weeks! Grandpa Bob has been in and out painting and papering Katie's room. Mum and dad have been decorating and moving furniture too... I have to admit, Katie's room looks great! Mum has already begun to train me to respect the new boundaries tho. I am beginning to understand that I cannot just walk into Kate's room uninvited, rather, I have to sit on her threshold and wait for mom or dad to give me to "OK' to come in.

Lately, I have taken to snuggling up even more with mum and dad on the big bed. I let mum know that I love the baby by resting my head right on her big belly and (sometimes) kissing it. I try to be as cute as possible and it has to be working because mum just melts! My parents are completely dedicated to giving me just as much love and attention when baby comes. They call me the big sister and include me in lotsa family cuddles. Dad has been giving me even more long walks and rides too! They really do want to include me in this delivery!

Mum and dad are trying to decide where I will stay while mum is in the hospital. With C-sections, a woman has to stay with her doctors for 4 whole days! Most likely I will stay with Grandma and Grandpa Kelly, Uncle Danny, and Cody -- that bratty cocker spaniel uincle of mine.

I entered the ANTI BSL 2007 stroll here on dogster and won the "Black is beautiful" category.

I just e-mailed another dogster, SPECIAL DAWN, A pit mix and told her that as a black dog I do know what it's like to be feared. Although "black dog syndrome" doesn't hold a candle to the prejudice against so-called "Bully breeds", I do know to a degree how it feels to be discriminated against. Like I told Dawn, we all have to stick together in the dog community!

Please, if you are reading this, urge your State Reps nad Senators to oppose BSL! Let's go after the negligent owners, not an entire breed! One letter or call DOES make an impact.

I'm steamed ! --

My home State of Massachusetts is proposing to BAN so called dangerous breeds like Pit Bulls and Rottweilers alltogether in our State.

This is WRONG!

Why are we punishing an entire BREED, when in reality the problem exsists with a few negligent/ignorant owners?! If anything, prosecute them!

We just wrote our local Rep., Martin Walsh, to voice our opinion on the matter. He called mum IMMEDIATLEY back at her office to say that he will do his best to oppose any BSL - bill that comes up. Marty is a good guy!

If you live in MA, please write to the following senators and Reps. from your area and say that you are OPPOSED to BSL in Massachusetts! Most Sens. and Reps. listen VERY CLOSELY to comments from thier constituents.

Doggy Paintings...

Hi fellow dog bloggers,

Over the weekend, mum made three PAINTINGS for our best dogster pal Tucker's mum of him and his sibs... We are going to try and post piccies soon.

Mum is interested in getting everypup's OPINION/FEEDBACK as to wether or not she should seriously consider setting up a website for custom portriats. Please contact us via pawmail. Mum is looking to make extra cash while on maternity leave this summer (b/c she's NOT getting any maternity leave at the office - grr...)

As you can see in my profile (Piccie one), mum painted ME not too long ago.
