Vacation Time!

For the Memorial Day weekend, I got to go on a car trip to Texas to see my Great-Grandmother (the mom's Grandmother). I love visiting her because she lets me get up on her furniture, and she pets me all the time, and she doesn't get mad if I come into the kitchen while all the people are eating at the table. The only bad thing was, I got fleas. The mom puts Advantage on me every month, but still the fleas just ate me up. Now that we're back home, the fleas are all gone, but I'm still all itchy.
Next week, we're going on another car trip, this one to Virginia to see my Mamaw and Papaw (the mom's Mom and Stepdad). I'm excited! I love riding in the car, and I love my Mamaw because she holds me and pets me all the time. My aunt Laura is graduating from college, although they won't let me go to the ceremony. I don't see why. I think I'd look cute in a little cap and gown.
The Mamaw lives on a lake. I can't wait to find out if I can swim! The mom bought me a life vest, just in case. I think I'll like boating and fishing, though. It should be fun.

A Rough Week

This week has been a tough one for a bitty dog. I got groomed, which normally is just a nuisance, but this time when they cleaned my ears they found an ear infection. I had to have annoying medicine squirted in my ears twice a day, all week! It was awful. This weekend, the cats got me in trouble. They pulled a tomato soup can out of the trash and left it on the floor, knowing I would lick the yummy soup out of it. My entire face turned orange! Then I had to have a bath, which I hate. Darn cats. They never have to get a bath. Finally, to top it all off, I went to the vet today to have my ears checked and to get my teeth cleaned. The vet ended up having to pull 12 teeth! Apparently, I just have genetically bad teeth. Thanks a lot, parents! Also, the ear infection moved down into my inner ear, and I have to take oral antibiotics now. But at least I got some pain medication. I'm really sleepy now, for some reasozzzz......
