Aliens! Wake Up! Aliens!

It's 3:25 a.m. and Mocha hears aliens! Nothing is worse than a Dachshund on vibrate mode. Actually, it was our smoke detectors because all three of them had their batteries changed at the same time and all three of them needed new batteries. Mom and Dad took out the batteries but that wasn't enough to calm down the little Dachshund on vibrate. She wanted to go outside, and to the furthest corner of the yard to escape the aliens. Finally Mom dragged her back to bed and decided to watch "BARTOK THE MAGNIFICENT", a freebie from Kelloggs, to provide a little distraction and kill time until the vibrating stopped. Mocha finally fell asleep at the end of the bed, and looked very bleary when it was time to get up for the day. Alien visits will do that.

Kitchie! Kitchie! Come play in the water with me!

I had to laugh that my new Pup Pal, "Kitchie" doesn't like water. Mom gave me a bath in the laundry sink yesterday, dried my feet with several little towels then set me loose. I ran around the living room, snorting several times, then she took me to the front door to see what Dad was talking about. The minute that I saw my little pool full of water I took a running leap and jumped in. She groaned, lifted me out of the pool, and started drying me all over again...

1. When I was brought home to a senior's retirement mobile home park, Mom walked me on a yellow six foot leash. I was only three pounds, so some of the neighbors looked out and thought that Mom was walking a Guinea Pig.

2. I bark like a common street dog.

3. I sleep with my owners and if I need to go out to take care of my needs, I wake them up by covering their nose and mouth at the same time so that they can't breathe. It works every time!

4. I can hear cheese grating preparations from any part of the house.

5. I can kill a small mousie outside with one bite and trade it for a cookie.

6. My 90 pound Golden Retriever brother loves me but is very careful around me.

7. I'm the slowest waddler in the West.
