Brew, Brew-Dee-Doo, Brewster

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

August 10th 2004

I love to meet people, esp. those who aren't afraid of me. Kids are the best.

People who think I'm a pit bull and people who don't pet me.

Favorite Toy:
Kong, Orbee Glow in the Dark Ball, Tuffie Ring Ding, digging in the dirt....

Favorite Food:
Mom says I eat Innova or Wellness. Whatever it is, I LOVE it.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere that has people. The beach is way cool; so is the park

Best Tricks:
What's Daddy doing? Opening doors and gates. Jumping in the air and kissing my humans on the face.

Arrival Story:
We purchased Brew from a kennel in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was born the same day my beloved dog Bubba died. We think he got Bubba's spirit because they are so much alike. Brew does things that Bubba used to do and it brings a tear to our eye. He even knows where Bubba is buried and hangs out there sometimes. Bubba is the mentor that Brew never knew.

We chose the name Dopper Broer because Dopper is the name of the kennel he came from in South Africa, and Broer is the Afrikaans word for "brother." It was a way for us to honnor Bubba(Texan for brother, lol) without using the same name. It is pronounced "Brew", which is something we like as well....

Mommy helped me post some of my favorite pictures from my super long camping trip. We (Me, Daddy and Mommy) were gone for 3.5 weeks! We visited 13 states. I was a super good boy. I didn't bite anyone, I didn't run away, I didn't bark too much--I was darn near perfect!

A couple of things to note:

I tried hard to catch my own little alien in Roswell, New Mexico. Those things are fast!

The Grand Canyon is a big, big ditch.

The pavement was super, duper hot in Las Vegas. Mommy had to put on my snow shoes so I could walk around.

I saw a dead shark on the coast in Oregon.

I saw lots of neat animals including elk, deer, rabbits, wolves and more.

I hate buffalo.

I really, really hate buffalo. They are bad.

That's all for now.

Mom and I have neglected Dogster for a Loooong time. What a fun way to get back into it!! I'm going to hit all of my "tag-ees" with a rosette, just for fun!

I was tagged by Zeus and now I'm it! I get to choose 7 of my pals to tag. Here are the rules I was given for the game: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a p-mail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

Here are 7 facts about me:

1. I was born in South Africa
2. I love to counter surf!
3. I love to swim but hate the rain--figure that one out!
4. I'm sensitive
5. I'm not against pooping in the house when it's raining hard.
6. I once swallowed two tennis balls because I wanted to keep them.
7. I eat chicken poop

I Tag:

1. Cashew
2. Super Spice
3. Abby Grace
4. Scottie
5. Ziero
6. Banky
7. Roxy

My Canine Parents

I found out that my doggie parents are both in the United States now too. My doggie mommy lives at a real nice place and they seem to love her very much! I'm happy she has a new home where she is part of the family. Boy do I ever look like her! From the way my human mommy talks, I got my canine mommy's temperment. Funny thing is that my canine mommy and my human mommy have the same name, Rebecca.

My daddy wasn't so lucky. The people who purchased him aren't very nice. This makes me sad. He has to stay outside in a dog run and he has sores on his legs that don't look so good. They seem to be proud of the fact that his temperment is somewhat aggressive towards other dogs. I'm afraid for my canine daddy. All I can hope is that they will start treating him better or that they'll sell him to a better family.

I'm happy for my mommy. I sure wish I could find out what happened to my littermates. It would be so cool to see how they are doing. Hopefully, they all got great human families.

That's all for now,
