Howdy

Hi I'm Shadow and I'm not sure why I have not written a journal entry yet. Well this past summer has been crazy, I lost my life long friend and brother about a month ago. It was tough to get through but Wendy in no time began taking me for regular walks, I have been yelling at her to do it but better late than never. So everyday now I go on what she calls a "Shadow Shorty" I'm on what you call an exercise program to get in better shape, I have to start out short. But hey guess what I am now half way around the famous "loop" by our house. Amber and I have been getting better with each other, we share breakfast and dinner now together. Wendy mixes my food with some can stuff in the morning, she said she hides lots of vitamins and pills for us old guys, but I don’t taste anything. I had my teeth cleaned this summer, I was not a happy camper about that, but now no one complains about my kisses, they just say I have hot doggy breathe instead of bad.

I talked to Amber in the beginning of the summer and she told me to beware of her mom, but I told her I was a boy and did not have worry. I guess I was wrong, I too am being punished with having to wear bandanas all the time, but I think the chicks dig it.

I also had a birthday party this year, I turned 11, man it stinks getting old. I had to wear a party hat, but I guess it didnt bug me too much in return I got a fresh out-of-the-oven homemade dog cake with beef chunks and gravy frosting, it was wonderful!! For a gift I got extra padding for our woobies, I love them now, they are extra comfy!

Well have to go crash on the new extra fluffy woobie Rusty left me in his will. I sure do miss the big guy.
