Bad Day

I think yesterday was just about the worst day I've ever had. I'm not sure why, but I started getting bad pain in my back. It hurt so bad that I didn't want to go up the stairs or jump into bed. It made me very sad and it scared my mom so she took me to the vet. I cried all the way there.

I thought maybe if I kissed the vet enough, he would let me just go home but it didn't work. He kept looking at me and pressing and moving my paws and my head. I don't know why he didn't just rub my belly like a normal person would.

Anyhow, that's all he did and he sent home some good tasting stuff for me to drink. (Mom calls it puppy medicine.) I guess I pulled a muscle when I was playing with my little sister. I figure it's all her fault.

The medicine made me feel better and this morning I was almost back to my old self! Mom says I have to stay real quiet for about a week. What a bummer! What about my walks and playing? I live to run in the snow. Maybe I'll get some bones to chew while I'm resting.

If I don't get better, I'm going to have to have something called x-rays. I don't know what those are but I don't like the sound of that so I'm hoping to get better real soon! I'm too young to have arthritis. I'm insulted that they are even considering that. Can't they see I'm an athlete in my prime? I'll show them!

So far, today is a better day. The medicine is helping and mom isn't crying anymore. Yippee!
