Likes:
Chasing light, chasing bubbles, playing with Wrinkly (his 10 years old squeeky toy), looking at his face in a body of water, going for a ride, not just belly rub but full body doggie massage (we call doggie spa treatment).

Pet-Peeves:
He does not like to be in the water. He is a terrier.

Favorite Toy:
Wrinkly, a squeeky toy (Shar Pai) that we have been replaced a few times. Luckily we located a santa verion of it lately because the last one was ten years old and was finally torn in halves.

Favorite Food:
Turkey, lamb, mango, melons, avacado, fish, Thai food, prawn but not shrimp, carrots, rosted nori (dried seaweed), steak.

Favorite Walk:
Around the neighborhood, also round and round our swimming pool.

Best Tricks:
Hide and seek. He hides and we seek. One time, he disappeared right inside the house and only appeared again an hour later. We looked at every corner, inside every cabinet and drawer, underneath everywhere and he was no where in sight.

Bio:
Shiva will smell flowers when we ask him to smell or look around when we ask him to look. He loves big dogs but has problems with dogs smaller than he is. He has a way to tell when food in the oven is ready and will tell us just before the timer goes off. Just before he turned 13, he was completely paralyzed from neck down for 3 months. We bottle fed him when he had trouble eating and built a litter box for him so he could release himself indoor (it was from January to March). We carried him around because he refused to be left alone. We took him outside to let him smell flowers and told him that he could run again someday. Then one day, there was the slightest twitch in his leg. He started to recover. After he was strong enough to stand on his own, we let him paddled in the bathtub. We thought he had to learn to walk again because he lost all his muscles. But no, he just staggered along one day for 10 feet before he collapsed and he would get up and walk again. Watching him brought tears to our eyes. One day, we could not find him downstairs. He climbed the whole flight of stairs all by himself one step at a time. That was our miracle dog. On September 11, 2005, Shiva crossed over into the light while he was in my arms. He was 15 years and 8 months. We missed him dearly. He gave so much love and joy and asked for nothing back.
