My visit with Santa

Woof!

It was quite an interesting day today.
My sister Lori loaded me and Bailey in the car and took us to see Santa Claus.
This wasn't just any Santa, it was the real guy!!! He took time out of his busy schedule to come to the mall in Ann Arbor (MI).
When we got there, the little moron (aka Bailey), showed me up by prancing alongside his mom, while I insisted on being carried by my dad.
It was rather traumatic, as there were so many people there. By the time we got to where Santa was receiving guests, we had passed half the world's population.
We got in line behind about a million people, some with dogs, some with small children, one with a real live cat!!!
The little moron continued to show me up while we were in line. People kept coming up saying how adorable he was and petting him and kissing on him. A few of them did say I was adorable and petted me (I wasn't completely ignored, unfortunately).
After what seemed like hours of standing there (or being held while dad stood), we made it to the front of the line.
Dad handed me off to Santa. I wasn't scared at all!
Then, something magical happened...Santa was loving all over me! He said he had an apricot poodle for about 17 years that went to the Bridge last year. Santa was a little emotional when he was talking about his dog, it was so sweet.
Then, my sister brought this stiff-as-a board Bailey over to put him on Santa's lap...Helloooooo....hasn't the man endured enough? He lost a wonderful dog last year, was strolling down memory lane with me, and then got stuck with a Jack Russell Terrier statue on his lap. Stop the madness!!!
Bailey finally loosened up, and even slobbered all over my dear Santa's face! It was a really embarrassing display!

Well Mr. Santa, I guess I'll see you next year. Maybe next time, we'll leave the little dust catcher (Bailey) at home and we can really enjoy our visit...
