Purple "blob", tug ropes. Another playmate.

Doggie bisquits/bones, gummy bears and his dog food.

Best Tricks:
Sit, lay down, shake hands, UP! Stay. Crossing my feet when I lay down, like a gentleman. Not necesarrily a trick but when he wants to play or go outside he "bites the air" at you and if ignored comes up and nudges you with his gorgeous wet nose.

Arrival Story:
Darby was adopted at approx. 2 years of age from the www.gulfcoastdobermanrescue.com (rescue called him Spirit because of his early "untamed" personality). He was a picked up as a stray in Baton Rouge. I think he "escaped" a bad owner. I wanted a bigger dog and did some research and thought a Doberman would be for me. His foster mom brought him from New Orleans for a 3 day visit/trial. After day 1 of him peeing on my livingroom wall, I said NO WAY but by the end of the 3 days I could not imagine this wonderful creature not being with me. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! Took him less than a week to feel at home and relax. Never had a dog listen and behave better! (except for when it came to the kitty. Considering he had a high prey drive he is most EXCELLENT with the kitty now).

Bio:
Very, very smart boy. All who meet him, even those "afraid" of Doberman type dogs, have fallen for his sweet, funny, "look at me" personality. Very friendly to my friends, loves people, loves attention but there is no doubt things would quickly change if "mommy" were in a threatening situation.
