 Quick Bio:
Likes: Pig ears, belly rubs, deep-tissue butt massages, being bent in half, going for truck rides and taking walks (anywhere), building fires in the fireplace with Dad, playing with her "Little Sister," Hannah, and most of all, what she does best... sleeping.

Pet-Peeves: THE VET :-o !!, our toaster oven (she hates the ticking sound it makes), getting her nails cut, taking her medicine, and anyone else besides her getting loved on.

Favorite Toy: Her blanket, and dog biscuits (she likes to toss them around and play with them before she eats them).

Favorite Food: Pig ears, pizza crust, broccoli, kale, green beans, canned dog food (the stinkier, the better), and anything that's on our plates.

Favorite Walk: To the local school playground (lots of fun smells there).

Best Tricks: Begging - she is good!

Arrival Story: After her last so-called "family" kicked her out on the street, my brother-in-law took her in to care for her while trying to find her a suitable home. He gave me a call and I went right over to see her. I knelt down to greet her and she immediately ran into my arms. From that moment, I knew we were meant to be together. The rest is history... from street doggie to queen of the house. What a life!

Bio: Soon after Missy came to live with us, she came down with a severe case of Parvo and almost died. She spent two weeks in the hospital and the staff told us not to expect too much. Nonetheless, we were willing to do whatever it took to help her get well. I went to see her every day after work and remained there until closing. I would hold and comfort her. The vet said that during the day she remained lethargic and only perked up when I came to see her. She is now known at the vet's office as the miracle doggie. I think whole parvo experience may have something to do with her not liking trips to the vet's office. She eventually gave birth to a litter of seven sweet puppies, one of which (Essie) came back to live with us eight years later.
