Spot has a girlfriend! She is a black lab and she has a complicated name. It starts with a M, I think, that's all I know. Spot met her on a walk in the morning. I don't remember the day though. Wish Spot luck! :-)

Today is Thanksgiving,
the kitchen smells like
good food
I will help with the food,
that takes up the time till dinner.
Pies in the oven,
turkey on the table,
but the whole time you wonder...
what do turkeys have for Thankgiving?

I wrote this poem today.

Thanksgiving Day

Tommorrow is Thanksgiving Day,
We give thanks as we pray.
All the food,
All the guests,
All the great smells,
Starts tommorrow,
On Thankgiving Day!

A Peck of Gold

Here's a poem I had to study for class. I had to memorize it, so this is helping.

A Peck of Gold

Dust always blowing across the town,
Except when sea fog laid it down.
I was one of the children told,
' Some of this blowing dust is gold.'

All of the dust the wind blew high,
Appeared like gold in the sunset sky.
I was one of the children told,
' Some of this dust is really gold.'

Such was life in the Golden Gate,
Gold dusted all we drank and ate.
And I was one of the children told,
' We all must eat our peck of gold.'
