So...what's all this about moving again?

One day I'm minding my own business, eating macaroni and snuggling with my foster parents...and the next day some lady I don't even know picks me up and takes me to Boston! She says she knows my mom, but we'll see about that. She called my mom last night to tell her I was in town, but my mom was out with friends. I hope she calls back this morning so we can get all of this straightened out. I'm excited to see my mom, though. I've gained a little weight from all of this macaroni I've been mom says she's going to put me on a diet and take me on long walks. That will be cool. The lady I'm staying with says that I'll only be here for a month or so while my mom finds an apartment where my sister, Maggie, and I can live with her. It'll be strange not to be the only dog again...but I don't think I'll mind.

I can't wait to see my mom today!

What's all this white stuff?

Since moving to New Jersey, I've learned a lot about the North. Recently, I learned about this white stuff called "snow". Now, I don't even like to get my paws wet...let alone jump into a pile of cold white stuff to do my business. But I had to go. I had to go bad. And my foster mom kept telling me it would be OK, even though the piles in front of the house were way over my head. Slowly, I walked outside. Well, it wasn't really was more like pushing my way through the pile. Suddenly I got this rush of energy! I ran around the yard, but the snow was very, very deep. My foster mom said she could only see me when I jumped up for air. And when I was done playing, it felt great to go inside the warm house and snuggle up in a blanket. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend getting your own pile of white stuff and playing in it. I wonder if my mom knows about it. Maybe I'll get her some next Christmas.

What I Did This Summer

I'm living in New Jersey for a year with a nice family who treats me as I should be treated--like a prince. My mom is in Massachusetts going to school for a year, so I'm getting a lovely vacation in the suburbs while she's working on her master's degree.

I really like it here. I have toys, a bed to sleep in, and that bratty sister of mine isn't here to take my bones away from me. I also get pasta to eat. Mom doesn't even do that. But I do miss her...and hopefully she'll come to visit me real soon. Of course, I'll act like I don't care to see her, but inside I'll be really happy she's back.
