Arrival Story:
I was adopted by my family from the Humane Society when I was a year old. It was a very happy time for me, because when I was in the pound I got picked on by the other dogs (except for an English Sheepdog who stood up for me), and then I suddenly had a family with two little girls (who are all grown up now). At first I was nervous about my new family, because the people I'd lived with before I went to the pound weren't too nice (I don't like to talk about that), but my new family was much better.

Cataracts caused me to go blind and I'm starting to lose my hearing, so you need to SPEAK UP! I've lived in the same house for about 10 years, so I pretty much know my way around. I only just recently learned how to actually wag my tail, which is long and curly, so I used to just shake my whole bum and my tail would move, too. The trick is to uncurl it first. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I can teach them to myself! My most embarrassing moment was when I was younger and I fell into a pool, because I didn't know what it was. Thankfully, Daddy jumped into the pool and saved me.

Wow, I haven't written in months! I've just been so busy lately.
It's almost Christmas, which is a lot of work. We put up the tree today, and I keep forgetting it's there and bumping into the ornaments on the low branches and being like, hey, what's this?
The presents are all around my upstairs bed, so I've been guarding them at night to make sure no one snoops. I get to snoop, though! Today there was a Target bag all full of presents RIGHT ON MY BED, so I went ahead and stuck my nose in to check out the purchaces. I have the right to check if they're on my bed, right?
Well, merry Christmas, everyone, and happy NEW YEAR!
P.S. I had my birthday on Friday, and I'm getting up there!

Wow! It's June already. I am excited for summer! My older sister is home from school, and my younger sister will be done, soon, too! And it's almost her 16th birthday!
The other day we went on a trip up to my grandparents' house, but they weren't there, because they spend their winters in Florida. We spent the day sweeping and cleaning the house, but it was too hot that day, and two hours in the car gave me a tummyache! I will be glad if the weather is nicer next time we go up there, and also because my grandparents will be there.
Now I need to decide what to get my sister for her birthday and what to get my daddy for father's day. I wonder if they'd like some Milk Bones? I always enjoy a nice gift of Milk Bones.

I am forever trying to get into my little sister's room, because she always has food in there. She shuts the door and I try to get in, but I usually can't push it open with my nose. The other day, though, I used my sneaky moves and got in! The key is to be persistent. Anyway, I found some old halloween candy in a pillowcase waaaaay under the bed. It may have been mostly wrappers, but I was excited anyway. :)
Daddy found me and tried to get me out from under the bed, but I was NOT planning on budging! He got me out and I didn't really get to eat any candy, but I was happy anyway, just because I got in there and found it. And of course, I'm scheming, but don't tell anyone. . .
I called my big sister tonight. I'm not much one for talking on the phone, but I haven't seen her in a while, so I figured I'd use Daddy's cell phone and find out when she'll be home. Less than a week! In less than a week, my sister will be done with her first year of college, and my little sister will be sixteen in a month. . . oh, my little girls are growing up!
Well, I'm going to go try my nose on that door again. Later!
