Herding Certificate!October 22nd 2007 12:23 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I got my Herding Certificate, yesterday, October 21, 2007! I showed those sheep a thing or two. Several times they tried to get out of the herd and I went after them and brought them back in to line. I barked at them too! I love to herd sheep. I want to do that every day! We were at Shannon Wolf's (interesting name) sheep farm in Genoa City, WI with about 25 other Bearded Collies. We got to run and jump and play in a large field before the herding event. It was so much fun!
New Food!October 3rd 2007 9:20 am[ Leave A Comment ] Clem and I started eating Urban Wolf from Canada. Clem was having some intestinal problems and several breeders recommended we try this. We LOVE it! It's delicious. It looks like it would be expensive but in the long run it really isn't... AND... we're lucky because we know several hunters who give us venison, duck and partridge. Clem can't eat raw for the time being. Maybe he'll be able to again one day, but for now, the meat is cooked and put through the food processor. Patti says it's a small amount of work for such wonderful dogs as we are.
August 12 2007August 12th 2007 7:51 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We now have 100 members in JoyRider!
August 3 2007August 3rd 2007 9:02 am[ Leave A Comment ] Cooper is Mr Sweetness in the morning. He quietly hops in to my bed and lays down. He rolls on his back and makes soft little noises and coyly moves his head around. Life is Good! I tell Cooper What A Good Boy He Is and without fail, Clem comes bounding up the stairs, jumps in bed, stares me in the face and says WHO"s the Good Boy Around Here?! Clem doesn't like being beat out in the Good boy department.
August 1 2007August 1st 2007 12:29 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We now have 87 members with our JoyRiders group and we have some of the best on the face of the planet! They are doing all sorts of fun and interesting things and have lots of good ideas.
Sunday, July 29 2007July 29th 2007 5:46 pm[ Leave A Comment ] It's just been too hot for the last couple of weeks for me to get out and get some exercise. Clem and I like to run at our fenced in area on the Wisconsin River and wrestle around. We'd have to be there by about 5 a.m. though when it's cooler and we just can't get going that early. patti works second shift and she's still sleeping at that time. We were supposed to go to the Groomer today for a bath and brushing but they cancelled out on us. We're wondering if they're not too happy to see two Beardies bouncing in the door. Patti groomed out our mats and we'll get a bath tomorrow. Clem and I don't like baths that much anyway. Patti has been busy for a week working on the 'Michael Vick' thing, (we don't like to say his name) besides her regular job. She's been signing complaint polls and sending letters to stores and companies. She's also been in contact with people who are actively participating by picketing at the court house in Richmond Va for the indictment.
July 10 2007July 9th 2007 8:03 pm[ Leave A Comment ] The back seat seat belts were repaired yesterday. They cost 128.00. Clem was so surprised to see they were nice and new and not his chewed up ones. Our Patti took plastic sandwich boxes and cut them to fit around the buckles and then snapped the lids on. Now they can be used, but not chewed up. We're set for a nice safe ride.
July 9 2007July 9th 2007 7:58 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We now have over 50 dogsters on JoyRider! That's very exciting and lots of fun for us. I think Clem's potty training was revealed on his web page. He had a hard time of it. He was sick for quite a few months and that set him back in the potty training department until a good raw diet was worked out for him. Now he's doing really well. He also got Bordatella from the vaccine when he was 3 months old and he was quite sick at that time... that didn't help matters. Now MY potty training went a little more smoothly. I caught on by... about ... well... never mind... I was under a year.
July 5 2007July 5th 2007 9:01 am[ Leave A Comment ] We now have 29 dogs on JoyRider, 3 cars and 1 gas pump! We'rrre very happy...
July 5 2007July 4th 2007 5:30 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Every breakfast and every dinner, I look to see if Clem has something to eat, before I eat. If Clem doesn't have food in his dish, I either don't eat or I leave some of my food for him. Patti said she always feeds us the same amount but sometimes Clem eats his food really fast and then it looks like she didn't give him any and then he eats mine.
