Birthday: July 1st 2004 Likes: lying on my back to sleep all sprawled out, doing 360's when getting excited, sniffing anything and everything! Pet-Peeves: strangers especially men ( growls at them cos she thinks she's tough), Isaac chasing her Favorite Toy: loves sniffing and rolling the treats out of her treat ball! Favorite Food: barbeque chicken, schmackos, chicken sticks, raw hide sticks, fresh dog meat Favorite Walk: around the block as long as we dont walk past strangers! Best Tricks: No tricks , she hasn't been trained by previous owner but likes to stand still like a real show girl! Currently teaching her to sit but is hard with her bum so close to the ground already... Has almost learnt to 'Stay' yay! Arrival Story: Dela joined the family in December. It's was such a looooong wait! She flew on the plane to us from Inverell NSW.
I fell in love with her photo as soon as I saw it as I have never seen such a pretty little dachie with such a creamy red coat. I also liked her fur as it wasn't too long or shaggy ;) Bio: Dela was a show dog who won some awards but she could not have any more pups so the breeder advertised her for sale as a pet, she is such a sweet girl and Im so glad we got her! Aww my gorgeous girl, you are such a pretty thing! I love how you love to be cuddled and just flop in my arms like a rag doll. I can lay you on your back like a baby and you love to be brushed and receive any attention. I also love how you don't shake yourself dry after I give you a bath hehe. Although it took awhile to trust little isaac and you would run away cos you were scared I always knew you would never do anything to hurt him and now you are starting to really take a liking to him. I think that is also because isaac is learning that you don't like to be chased or tried to be picked up and that only mummy is allowed to pick you up ;) It's obvious you used to be show girl in the way you stand and pose and the way you don't mind to be bathed and groomed but you have made a lovely pet it just took some time for you to trust people. But in saying that I don't mind how you try to keep us safe and bark when there is someone at the door or a stranger is in the house, you are just trying to be a tough girl and protect us aren't you! ;) Deep down your just a softy and I love giving you snuggles on the balcony outside while we watch the world go by.. Sniffing is what I like to do.. Im a dachie it's my job. I like to sniff the carpet and make mummy anxious in thinking that I am going to pee on it... yeah ok I have done it a few times, it just feels so much better than the cold outdoor ground.. I'm getting better! Mum is letting me stay inside more as it is getting colder now. She says she has bought us some cute pjs off ebay but I don't know about those yet - whatta ya think?:
Knowing her there will be some pics on here of us wearing them soon! She said she has also got us a new indoor bed, I could really get used to this indoor sleeping business.... We had another bed but it was so fun to chew up so we have a pink kennel under the back patio instead. Oh well at least it does not snow here!
Thank god Isaac is asleep he's been really peeving me off lately with his noise and running around the house! Talk about knowing how to stress me out! I might go see what mummy is doing....
Yay just wanted to type a quick note to say Im at my new home now with Candy and Ella... things are going well and I get lots of treats and attention and thank god no more parading around that damn show ring trying to be impressive, I can run play and be as cheeky as I like! Will post more soon...
