Our new friend Romeo needs some POTP - he was minding his own business playing ball with his Mom when he tore some ligaments in his knee.
Can you stop by Romeo's page and show him some love ?!!?!! He is only 2 years old and had a very rough start in life and can use some Dogster love right now.
Thanks pals, you are the greatest!

The new design of my page was a gift from my pals Flicka, Lucas, Angel Cleo and their amazingly talented Mom! She made that banner with her own paws and even found a pointer that looks like me! Doesn't the background dog look like me?!!?!! She made everything so perfect!
I have never had a fancy page before, and am so thankful to my pals for taking time to make it just for me, they are one special family and Mom, Baxter and I are sure glad we are friends with them. Love you Auntie P!!!!!

Well okay, maybe I am not a cover girl, more like a "home page" girl!
Check me out on the home page of Save A Sato - www.saveasato.org - there I am in my Dogster T-shirt!!
The article puts the spotlight on one of the Satos most endearing characteristics....big ears! Our friend Twig suggests that maybe us satos use our ears to pick up frequencies back on the island...interesting theory!
I sure am proud to be featured on the Save A Sato website, as I am so grateful to them for rescuing me, my brother Baxter and all of the other satos and gatos they help every day.We hope you will stop by and visit the webpage and learn more about our wonderful rescuers and friends.

It has been a rough few weeks for me, lots of tests to see why some of my CBC levels were off, a round of antibiotics, and an attempt by Dr. Z to remove my bump with a local rather than putting me under anesthesia. The local did not work and Dr. Z couldn't remove my bump, but today it was removed and sent off to the lab for biopsy.
Today I went to the veterinary dentist that helped fix Baxter's teeth, and while they had me under anesthesia for x-rays and a deep cleaning, they also removed my bump without any problems! Mom says they also removed one of my teeth....I wonder if that was a mistake? Didn't they know they were only supposed to take off my bump?? I have a few stitches in my mouth, and am now sleeping of that yucky anesthesia...in the comfort of my new Bagel bed. Baxter and Mom have been taking good care of me and helping me get around, but I should be back to normal in a few days...here's hoping to another B9 bump!

The bumps are back. Well, this time there is only one, near the tip of my ear. Last year at about this same time, my first bump was removed. Since then, Mom has been checking me over to make sure no more bumps have surfaced. Then there I was, minding my own business and getting my ears cleaned when Mom found it. That was two weeks ago, and now I am scheduled to get it removed on Thursday.
Due to the location of this bump (they know it is not deep because it is on my ear) Dr. Z is going to try a new method with her high tech machine, so I will not need to be anesthetized this time. Mom will stay with me at the vet while they put a local numbing agent and take off the bump - then they will send it to the lab for testing, just like my other bump! We are sure that the result will be the same...a B9 infundibular keratinizing acanthoma bump....paws crossed.
It has not been a good vet week for me. Monday I went to see the Veterinary Dentist for a consultation. My teeth need a good cleaning! I had my blood work done to get ready for my cleaning, and some of my levels are slightly high so Mom is chasing me with a cup trying to collect a "sample" of urine for more testing. I refuse to give any of my precious pee up for Mom, she sure does look funny trying to catch some urine while chasing me around the yard! She says I have to give her some before I get my bump removed on Thursday....we'll see about that!
Hugs to my pals,
Kenzie

I am sure many of you have heard about the horrible cruelty that took place in Puerto Rico last week when animal control workers, hired by the municipality, confiscated hundreds of pets from the homes of people living in a public housing project. In most cases, the animals were forcibly taken away in front the families. And, instead of the humane euthanasia that the city had requested, the workers took these poor things to a bridge and threw them off--100 feet onto the pavement below. A few survived and are fighting for their lives at a local veterinary clinic - there is Yolanda, one of two surviving dogs, she has suffered a broken pelvis and spine. An orthopedic specialist will examine her today to determine whether or not she can be saved...If you could possibly take a moment to express your horror over this to the governor of Puerto Rico at the email below and sign the petition, we would be so grateful...
Rescue organizations including Save A Sato, the rescue that both Baxter and MacKenzie came from are trying to turn this atrocity into a defining moment in the animal welfare movement on the island. The greater the public outrage, the greater the chance we have to do just that...

Channel surfing? Not satisfied with the Fall lineup? Want more excitement from your nightly television?
Join me and the handsome host Lyle for Lyle TV's exciting new Fall hit - Survivor:Backyard.
The contestants will face challenges created by the magnificent Lyle himself...Team Dead Petunias Vincent, Rosie and Spring will compete together to overthrow Team Empty Birdfeeders with Baxter, Comu’ and Maebe.
Challenge #1 - build a shelter to sleep in for the night!
Here is my prediction for the first challenge -
As much as I hate to admit it, I think my brother's team will win this one. Why? The street dogs, Baxter and Comu', they know how to make shelter. They have created a very tall shelter, helped by the vertical leaping Maebe. Rumor has it that V & R are having trouble keeping the walls on their shelter erect, as Spring does not like to be in a small enclosed area.
Tune in to Lyle TV for the outcome of this challenge!
