MUSINGS FROM THE MEADOW

I helped Mommy write a poem!

I wanted to share a poem my mommy wrote on May 5th ... she's been thinking so much about me as the 3 year marker of my crossing over approaches - she's reliving the last month with me and the memories flood her heart with happiness and tears ... I helped her write this poem, I guided her thoughts and filled her heart with my love and the words just came to her.

Bound by Love

The love that's shared within us stays
To light our path through dark, sad days.

When memories of purrs and gentle barks
Are all that fill our lonely hearts.

We want to kiss that furry face,
We long for just one more embrace.

To look into those loving eyes,
And feel the peace that in them lies.

To do all the things we didn't do,
And perhaps undo some things, too.

Will there be peace for broken hearts?
Is crying the way each day now starts?

Hush ... be still ... listen with your heart,
The answer's clear - they're never far!

We're bound by love so strong and true,
They're right here with us - they'll see us through!

In Memory of Ralphie (Maria, 5/5/08)
