A group of ladies who found him approached my partner, who was walking Sherlock, our Harrier. "Would you like another beagle?" they asked. "Not really" he answered. One lady gave him a line about wanting to adopt Buddy, but having to go away for the weekend, so he agreed to take Buddy "for the weekend". When the weekend was over, we called, but for some reason, the lady wasn't able to take Buddy. So my partner was ready to take him to the pound. "He's a cute dog who will get adopted in a second" my partner claimed. So I gave him a sob story about never having my own dog.
