Arrival Story:
Our greatdane had to be pts last November. My husband was the one that had to take him in. I couldn't do it. He had always wanted a mastiff, so I started researching the mastiffs and decided a fila was perfect for us. Of all the fila puppies I saw Brutus was the one that caught my attention I loved his dark brindle color. He liked me too, he licked my hand. Brutus was my husbands' fathers day present. I can't seem to get a good picture of him when his ears are relaxed. Brutus is at, I guess where everything is out of proportion. Butt is really high, head small and legs and feet huge. Hopefully it will all come together one day. But we still love him. Most of his pictures are too big and I have to resize them to get them on here. Mom is working on that. Bad mommie!!!! get with the picture.
Bio:
Brutus has been and absolute joy to have around. He is so laid back, for a puppy( most of the time, However there have been a few demon-spawn days. ) Watching him grow amazes us. He was only 25 lbs at 10 weeks and now just turning 5 months he is bigger than Roxie. He is so loving and affectionate. Life would not be the same without him. Roxie has become so attached to him and mothers' him constantly. She also corrects him. Thank goodness for her help. He is very smart, but also has that little fila hard head attitude occasionally. We love him so much. My husband gets so excited when Brutus points on a rabbitt. He has such a pretty point and holds it for a few minutes. Then it is off to the races so to speak. I think hubby has visions of him and Brutus deep in the woods somewhere hunting. I didn't know Filas would do that. When we ask him if he wants a cookie , or wants outside he shakes his head. I have learned no means yes with him.
