Birthday: October 14th 2004 Likes: crazy 8s, taking mommy for walks, chasing my tail, lying on my back, licking mommy on the nose, following houseguests into the bathroom, "skool", doggy day care, skidding on the area rug, and anything that SQUEAKS!! Pet-Peeves: lack of attention for more than two minutes, when mommy shuts off the tv, squirrels in my backyard, having my collar removed, when mommy hides from me, and, btw, how does mommy know when I'm somewhere I'm not supposed to be? hmmm... Favorite Toy: rope & tire, tennis balls, chewies, bubbles (!), Moo (plush cow head), squeaky toys that I can play tunes on...hee! Favorite Food: mmm...greenies, Cheerios, bananas, whatever mommy might be eating...yum! Favorite Walk: long leash walks in the park on my 50 ft leash! Best Tricks: My best and favorite trick is making mommy laugh! Arrival Story: I had lost my cocker spaniel, Heather in November, 2003, and one weekend I just decided to take the plunge and find a new face. I was 'nosing' around on the Humane Society Silicon Valley website when I came across a very sweet face with a note that 'I must meet all family members before I can go home with you.' Intrigued, I made an appointment to meet her and immediately fell in love. Since the house was not 'puppy-proofed', I put down a deposit and adopted her the next day. Three other people had either called or stopped in to inquire about her, so I feel very lucky. She had been previously adopted by a woman with a small child and then returned after 3 days. Maggie was very jumpy and mouthy but we are inseparable and she has filled a hole in my heart... Bio: Maggie had been a stray and exhibits some traits now and again...she's calmed down and is such a sweet girl...I'm so happy that the Humane Society recognized what potential she has! In my group, the Dog House, we have a Secret Santa this year and mine is TORTURING ME!! He/she is leaving me anonymous rosettes, telling me I'd better be good because he's watching me! Is Santa Paws a stalker or what?

Yesterday was very sad...mom and I snuggled wiff Bun all day today...I woke mom up because I knew something was wrong wiff him...he was sitting in his cage facing the corner...Mom knew that it was his last day. We all snuggled together all day..and at 6:20, he took his final breath. I kissed him and licked his ears all day to let him know that it was ok. I would take care of mommy.
I looked for him all day today. I looked in his room and everywhere and couldn't find him. Mom kept telling me that he is not wiff us anymore and I don't think I understand. I miss him. Mom does too.
