I'm so sad...

I am so sad. It is back to work for my mommy after being home with me for two weeks! I just love staying home with my mommy and my daddy. I get so much attention, extra long walks, and tons of cuddle time. There is just nothing like being with the ones that you love. Now, my mommy needs to leave the house early to get to school on time. Thankfully, my daddy gets to go in to work at 9:00 AM, so I still have a little bit of sleep-in time. And I am very lucky that my daddy gets to take me to work with him. That way, I do not have to stay home alone! I'll update you on my new schedule soon!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of my wonderful Dogster pals! I can't believe that it is already 2007. The first thing that most people think about when it comes to a new year is whether or not you have made a resolution. Well, my mommy wants to read more books and my daddy is still thinking about his resolutions (probably to keep up his singing practice) and I have a few good resolutions in mond. First, I want to make a world record for playing ball (you know, like not stopping for a day or so). I also would like to hold the record for most chicken eaten at a single meal. My parents do not support these ideas. They think that I need to work on not barking at the TV when a baby or another animal pops up. Oh well.

I wish you all a wonderful 2007- filled with good health, long walks, yummy treats, restful naps, and great pup pals!

Turkey day is the BEST holiday!

I love turkey and this whole day is dedicated to turkey eatin'. I went with my mommy and daddy to my grandmommy's house. My whole family was there and there were soooo many great smells. I just ran around the house and chased the ball and played with my aunts and uncles. Then, everyone sat down for the Thanksgiving meal. The people sat at a table and I sat on the floor. I even had my own placecard! Then, my mommy surprised me with some turkey in my dinner bowl! Turkey is my ULTIMATE favorite food. It tasted so juicy and delicious. My grandmommy is a fabulous cook.
Now I am going to lie down and take a little nap before I start chasing the ball again. It can't get much better than this for a little Cavalier!
Happy Thanksgiving Dogster!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I mean, how can you not love the delicious, juicy turkey and the yummy side dishes. My mommy only lets me have a little bit of turkey meat, and I wish that I could et the whole bird... but I know that it would give me a tummy ache! I will be eating with my grandmommy and my aunts and uncle. How about you?

Deer Watching

I have a secret passion... I LOVE to watch deer in my backyard. There are two new baby fawns and I love to sit and watch them. In fact, I pointed them (leg up, nose out, and everything! the real deal!) out to my mommy. She was so impressed. I should say that I never actually get close to the deer because I am a big chicken, however, I love watching them. Do any of you like to watch deer or other backyard creatures?

On Monday, my daddy had his tonsils removed. I am kind of confused as to why he isn't running around and throwing my ball. In fact, he has been REALLY quiet. My mommy says that I have nothing to worry about, but until I hear him yell "Abbey, I don't want to play ball at 6:00 AM" I will not be satisfied. J/K. Please keepa good thought for my daddy. Thanks!

My Tail of Devotion for Abbey

To our very dearest Abbey,

You are the light of our lives. We never knew how much we could love another little puppy until you came into our lives. From the moment you wake up in the morning, yapping and scratching at the door for your breakfast, to the hugs and kisses you give us before snuggling into bed at night, your love for us seems unending! You are truly our best friend in many ways. You keep us company when we are lonely; you help us exercise with your amazing energy; you have helped us improve our aim with all of the daily ball throwing; you make us laugh when you do your tricks. There are countless little things about you that we love and that are too numerous to mention here.
We will never forget the way you look at us with those big brown Cavalier eyes and how your little face just makes us smile. You seem to know and understand what we are saying to you, even if you can't speak back to us using words. You are truly the smartest dog we have ever known. (Remember how you can tell us where a ball is even if it has been weeks since you have played with it?!)
We are truly blessed to have you in our lives and we are so thankful that you are a part of our family!

All our love forever,
Mommy and Daddy
(Katie & Marcus)

My tail update

My Grandpoppy is so cute. He asked about the update to my tail story and so here it is:

My tail seems to be just fine. It must have been a sprain becuase I can wag it all around and it hasn't stopped me from wanting to EAT treats or go for long walks. In fact, since my mommy has been home for the summer (she is a 2nd grade teacher), I have been on many walks. (I think she is hoping that it will slim me down a bit.) And my tail is no longer crooked. That's good!
So that is the grand finale to my tail story. This is just a helpful little tidbit of information for all of you pups out there who have long tails... make sure you are FAR away from the side of the bathtub BEFORE you start to shake off!
