Arrival Story:
My sister and I found Carizzo in...well.... Carizzo, Arizona, hence the name...We stopped at about 12 am to get gas and when my sister went inside to pay she heard a noise from around the side of the building. She went back there to check it out as it sounded like a whine and she found this tiny, six week old pup under the dumpster, all by himself. We did not know if he belonged to anyone inside, but we took him around the other side of the building where there was an overhead light to check him out and found him to be covered, I mean literally covered, with ticks. They were in between every single pad on his feet, down inside his ears, it was gross. So we spent about 1/2 hour pulling ticks off of him and ended up taking him with us. In the light of the morning we found him to be white gummed and very weak from loosing so much blood to the ticks. We spent the next two weeks of our vacation carrying him around, in the 100 degree weather, usually inside our shirts to keep him out of the sun. The little guy slept straight through the first couple days we had him and has been a holy terror every since.

Bio:
Carizzo is very independent and exceedingly intelligent. He loves his mom and his brothers, but he likes to do his own thing most of the time. He has one of those "born to be a brat" attitudes and the brains to support it (and get away with it). But no matter what he may have done not two minutes ago that I am reprimanding him for (like when I am calling him and he turns his head over his shoulder for two seconds looking at me..then runs the opposite direction) , when he comes over to me and sticks his nose up and snuffles in my face, tickling me with his wiskers and giving me the most gentle kiss with just the tip of his tongue..my heart melts. I already had three dogs when we found Carizzo..but how can one not believe that God intended me to have this dog when the circumstances of us finding him were so unusual. That is how my life has always been..I never have to go looking for dogs...God sends them to me and I cannot thank Him enough for sending me Carizzo. I would not part with him....ever. In one of the pics of Carrizo I submitted, yes..he is on the kitchen table..eating my birthday cake..something only Carizzo would think to do.
