Arrival Story:
My family's dog, Ruffy, was hit by a car shortly after Grandpa died. Needless to say, they were double-devastated! Uncle Tom found me at the pound, and alerted Dad right away, so no one else would take me. My name was inspired by Grandpa "Bud" and Ruffy, so I was named Buffy. I did my best for 13 years to take away my family's pain and then bring tons and tons of joy.

Bio:
I didn't have one aggressive cell in my body. I loved everyone, no exceptions, and those who did not like dogs even couldn't help loving me. I had the most expressive eyes and mannerisms. I had an uncanny intuition, and always knew what my family needed. I brought them through many trying times. I was completely obedient; when we moved into a new house, all Mom had to do was walk me around my yard once, and I never left, never needed a fence, chain, or leash. I was good, but still fun-loving and playful. Okay, kinda crazy hyper the first two years, but I was a puppy. My family only ever wanted one dog at a time, but Duke arrived at just exactly the right time for me to train him up. Now he takes care of my family for me. Lucy, well, he's got his hands full with her. Maybe in about 15 years she'll be ready for him to pass the baton. (Just kidding, she's getting to be a great puppy, too! I just don't want to rush anything.) In the meantime, Mom, Dad, and Duke are getting their exercise trying to keep up with her. That's a good thing.
