Arrival Story:
I was looking to get a female show bedlington but the breeder we went to decided to keep the female. We then thought it over and decided the male puppy would be fine but once we showed interest the breeder decided to keep that one too. So after talking to other breeders I got a nephew to the dog we wanted a puppy out of and I couldn't be happier!

Vegas is a show dog and is doing really well. He has won numerous awards and really loves it. Just this past saturday he competed in Earth Dog and got his Junior Earthdog title.

Rainy Days Are for Mud, Mom!

For the past few days we have been having a lot of rain....well today my mom let me outside to go potty and I had the time of my life! There was around 2" of water in the backyard making a wonderful mud pit. Me and my daughter Chloe went for a swim and hunted worms in the grass! We were covered from the tips of our noses to the tips of our tails in mud when my mommy called us to come in. We went in and of course, we needed baths! For some strange reason my mom has rules about not making mud pits in the house, you'd think the carpets and couches were more than just places to lie down. After our bath my mom had to cook dinner for us because we had run out of frozen turkey stew which we normally defrost and eat. Our family cooks our own food because it's much healthier and better for our coats! We got turkey, veggies and rice in nice chicken broth over our dry food for dinner. I love when our food is being made because it makes the entire house smell like turkey stew, which is our dinner! After dinner we played a great game of ball then went outside again to play, although my mom kept a close watch on us and didn't let us in the mud again and then we came inside and are now heading off to bed....again.

The Kids have all the fun!

Today my mom woke me up really early, it was just 7:30...I still had 2 hours of beauty sleep to go! She carried me down the stairs because all I wanted to do was go back to bed and then she put me outside to do my buisness, talk about a chilly morning! When I came back in she had all of the grooming equipment out and I realized this must be a show day! I raced to the sink, where she gives me baths, and she lifted me in. A shampoo and protein rinse later and I was on the table being dried and fluffed for the big day. Once I was dry she went over me with scissors and made sure I had no areas of my coat that needed work. She did the same with my son, Rocky and daughter, Chloe and then Gypsy my girlfriend. We got to the show around 11:30 where I decided that it was the appropriate time to finally wake up. We were groomed again and then set off for the ring aroun 1:00. First the puppies showed and Rocky got a 2nd in his class, beating a dog with 13 points already! My mommy was thrilled because he's only 6 months old. Chloe won her class. I went in for BOB but a dog from Sweden won and later went on to get a group 4. Right after breed we went to Junior Showmanship where my mommy played with me and let me have fun in the ring again. We didn't win anything today but yesterday we went 2nd in a huge class! It was a great day for the puppies but now I'm beat. After the show we went to a boyscout court of honor which was hosted in an outdoor pavillion. I took a walk with my mom on the wooded trails and hunted for small mammals...although I didn't find any. I also ate two hotdogs when no one was looking! I'm off to bed now, what a day!
