I don't have time for this
don't bother meSeptember 18th 2006 3:33 pm[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] I don't have time to write a diary. I am a very important dog.
Leave A Comment | 2 people already have Your dog looks like a sweetheart! I have a dog I adopted at 1 year old, and I am pretty sure he is Rhodesian/Shar Pei. He is amazingly smart, sweet, and devoted, but I cannot get him to stop and come when he decides he wants to chase another animal. My boyfriend is worried he will hurt an animal after he went after a goat recently. Any advice? Ha ha. As much as I adore Ajax, I don't know if "sweetheart" is the right word for him! He has wonderful moments but he's also a bit of a headcase sometimes. He's my old man dog and he's taught me so much about being a good dog owner. I'll bet it's tough for your 1-year-old dog to want to come to you when there is a critter to chase. I think it's important to have amazing treats on you when you're out with so many other distractions, don't ever call your dog and then scold him for something, and keep him on a long line until you're truly comfortable having him off-leash. Those are just a few basic tips, but there's more to it. If you're interested in learning more there's a good DVD called Really Reliable Recall. http://www.dogwise.com/ItemDetails.cfm?ID=DTB810P Good luck!! |
