bathing...you'd think you were trying to execute her. have you ever tried to bathe 80 lbs. of pure, terrified muscle??? and she hates people who think she's an overgrown beagle!!!!

Favorite Toy:
other dogs....she prefers other dogs to any

Favorite Food:
her handlers liver!!!!!....loaded with rosemary and garlic....after that, she's not particularly discreet except it must have been alive at some point....and she does like the cat box! ick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite Walk:
becka loves to be outdoors anywhere. she loves picking up scents....her nose goes into the air and twitches with excitement....

Arrival Story:
I fell in love with a big foxhound named Virgil at a show...he was standing next to me outside of the obediance ring and he just started nuzzeling my hand for attention. I'd never known a foxhound before so I didn't know this was uncharacteristic behavior. They are actually pretty "aloof" dogs. From that point on I kept my eyes open for the breed. My friend, who handled our Goldens heard about a litter of really nice English Foxhounds and made the connection for us...the rest is history. What we didn't know was how very, very different Foxhounds are from Goldens and how VERY smart they are....and funny....she makes me laugh out loud every single day! She is doofy and loving and clumsy and elegant all in the same wonderful dog!!!!! What we also didn't have any concept of was the term "heavy boned"...she is as solid as you can imagine...and pure muscle waiting to run. It really takes alot of strength and energy to have 80 lbs of muscle on the end of a lead!

Bio:
Beckka finished her championship in Virginia with a 5 pt. major and has gone on to win the breed in the next seven out of eight shows she was entered in. She took a Group 3 placement in the Hound group at the Pedigreee National Dog Show in Philadelphia on Sat. the 13th of Nov. Becka recently went "Best of Opposite" in her breed at Westminster. Pretty good for a two year old! Next year...she's gonna win!!!!
