Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Likes:
Napping on the bed with Mom. Eating my own poop. Being rubbed under my chin.

Pet-Peeves:
The laundry room. If I have to go down there I make myself very flat. Other dogs approaching my mother. How dare they!

Favorite Toy:
The blue mouse, until the stuffing came out. Now I like to take all the toys and pile them up in front of me.

Favorite Food:
Garbage that I find on the street.

Favorite Walk:
Around the block. New places can be frightening.

Best Tricks:
When my mom says "Go in your house!" I walk into my crate right away -- unless I'm feeling very naughty. Then I run under the bed and hide.

Arrival Story:
I'm a Pekingese mix who came to live with Mr. Chubbs in February 2003 when I was two years old. My original family gave up me, my sister and my father when they moved away. A rescue group placed me in a new home, but that woman changed her mind so the rescue found me a home with Mr. Chubbs. Mr. Chubbs' mom found the information on me on Petfinder.com. Thank you, Petfinder! Anyway, I was very nervous and upset when I first came home. In addition to enduring a lot of upheaval I suffered a broken back when I was very young. Despite permanent spinal cord damage I love to run and play and I have even learned to jump up on the furniture uninvited!

Bio:
I am jealous of other dogs and will give them "what for" but once they acknowledge me as queen I am happy. Mom isn't crazy about this way of socializing and took me to a dog behaviorist. Oh, the stigma!

Poor me

Well, I haven't been here in a while. After Mr. Chubbs died, I was very depressed for a day. Afterwards I was happy because I had all Mom's attention. Finally, it was all about me! I had the best month of my life, and then they brought home Henry. He seemed harmless at first but after a few weeks his alpha dog tendencies came out and he started pouncing on me AND took possession of the black couch I used to sit on. The nerve! But I must confess that sometimes I like it when he chases me up and down the hallway.

I wonder what this means

Lately, people look at me, shake their heads and then say, "Well, at least she's pretty." Should I be insulted?

Rest in Peace, Mr. Chubbs
