Dog with a Whale Song

Sometimes I like to make whale noises when no one's home. I used to bark and howl a lot, and I know it really annoyed the neighbors but I don't care about them. Kit and Katie would record me barking and then play it back and say bad dog to the recorder, and I knew that they didn't like it when dogs barked, but I'd get so worried that I'd forget. Then I realized that I didn't need to bark so much because Katie got me a collar that squirted stinky citronella when I barked. So I figured out how to make noises that the collar didn't recognize, really high and really low frequencies. Imagine the sounds that whales make (I saw it on TV once, I think) and you'll know what I mean. Katie and Kit came home once and heard it and couldn't figure out what was making that sound until one night when I thought they'd left and I started making it. I was so embarrassed.

Now Katie's gone for lots of days at a time with her new job, and I don't bark very much even though the citronella collar broke when I went swimming in it. Now I just make whale sounds and the neighbors can't hear me. But I don't get as worried as I used to, either. I've finally realized that Katie will come home sooner or later.

Yuck Head

Today when we went for a walk I was just sniffing a plant and Draco came over and peed on my head. It wasn't too bad, but then when we got home Katie gave me a bath! Geez. Not only are baths a little bit scary but now I smell like a human.

I'm not a human (thank goodness)

First things first; my person, Katie, is definately not my mom. My mom was a harrier named Sugaree. My dad was a big tan mutt named Roscoe. I know this. Katie is my friend. If Katie were my mom I'd be a human like her, and then I'd have school and work and all sorts of things to do when I'd rather just lie on my chair.
