Dear Sparky:
You were my best friend through some of the hardest years of my life. I could always come home and have my best pal loving everything about me. Some of my earliest memories are you walking up our driveway lost and scared. Some of my saddest memories are the first minute you weren't there.

We've never tried to 'replace' you. We never forget you at holiday and all have our favorite stories. We made a wood replica of you who stood guard at the front doorway for years. I even found a hair of yours in my closet the last time I was home.

Sparky, I'm forever devoted

Wowie Zowie. Jeter Harris watnts to chase around my Ted. That sure sounds fun. But Dilly would definitely have to join in. I'm not sure Dilly gets around too fast, but Jeter'd stay right with us all day.

We could go exploring and prowling. It would be great!

So, my name is Ted Rheingold and I started Dogster and Catster.

I've hardly been happier in my life than getting to make a site that is so beloved and enjoyed. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. Without all of you, Dogster and Catster are just a bunch of fancy web software. This is the best job a dog could have.

Me and Sparky in the Hatchback

I had (and still have ;) 3 older brothers and sisters of which I was the yougest by four years. With my folks that made for a total of six. With Sparky it was seven. In 1976 we got a Datsun B210. Mom and dad in front. My siblings in the middle seat and me, as always, in the rear. So you can guess who always squeezed in with me. Sparky. I found a picture of one in blue just like ours. Datsun B210 . Can you see me in back there? I can.

On a humorous note in searching for the image I found a auto reviews page which said "Back seat totally unusable except by Munchkins."

I guess it could have said "And the way back totally unusable except by Lilliputians."
