Cupcake's got a home!

Cupcake our foster went to her furever home yesterday....well us dogs thought this was her furever home, but we guess it was just a halfway house to her furever home. We really enjoyed her 5 weeks with us and it was tough to let her go, but there is only so much room at this halfway to furever home so we have to make room for other homeless pups.

It is tough to let go, especially when they are so cute and smart and sweet, but we already got a note from her new owner that they are in love so that is a good thing!

I have a foster sister from Gold Ribbon Rescue......we have had so much fun being rowdy for the last 3 1/2 weeks. She is a very cute golden mix and mom says "she has the sweetest face."

Her life is about to take a turn for the better.....though she has been doing just fine with us, she is going to her furever home maybe as soon as next week.

We hope the family that makes a visit on Tuesday decides she is right for them, but if they don't take her there are several others interested in her.

We have every confidence that she will be fine with whoever she goes with. They do home checks and must pass muster with GRR before she can be adopted.

It will be hard to let her go, but we must make room for some others to come and stay awhile. There are just too many homeless dogs out there at this time.....we have to do our part! Cupcake will always have a corner of our hearts.....:o)

OOOPs

I am sorry if some of you thought my birthday was today, but mom was only guessing at that date to begin with. We have decided to celebrate my day on July 4th....the day I came to my forever home. She just forgot to change it on my profile.

I am Mick!

Mom took the test for me to see which celeb I would be. She found it very amusing that I would be Mick Jagger since I only have one girlfriend on Dogster I am quite the wild man at times, but not with the women. I can be fearsome with the guys and I tend to run around and be manic. Yep, I am a rock and roll icon but I am sure not that old! If I have the stamina of Mick I would be proud.
BOL!!!

Firehouse Dog

Mom is recovering from knee surgery and was flipping through the channels. She came across the movie Firehouse Dog and remembered she had entered my ph0to to be in the credits and I won. She had not seen the movie but there it was and it was almost over. She turned on the DVR and taped the end of it. Lo and behold there I was in all my big headed glory. My name was on the picture. Mom was so excited!!!! I am a star according to her!

Too quiet

It is just too quiet here without Maggie. Maggie was our best promoter for getting food and treats. She made noise so mom would feed us and remember all important things like between meal snacks. She would start around 2 pm to tell mom it was getting close to dinner time though it was hours away. She did not want mom to forget about us and she got away with barking in the house, which I never could figure out how she did that! I get chastised if I do that unless it is the UPS guy or something!
Now that she is gone I don't get in the bed. It is just not as fun knowing I am not annoying her. I miss the little snorts, and sneezes she did. It is just too quiet. Maggie, where have you gone? I just don't understand.

My sis Maggie went to the bridge today. Everyone is so sad....it is a sad sad day.
I wish she were back and I would not take her bed.

1. Is Maggie....yes I know she is my sis, but she puts up with a bruiser like me and I know she wants to tag some people. She is sweet all round girl.

Ok, there are some advantages to having foster dogs. After two years of being here I have always been the "trouble maker" but mom says the training has paid off. I am now "the good boy". Of course now having said this I will probably go chew up a cushion or something.
Wendy our foster has accidents, but she is on HW treatment and prednisone so we have to blame them on that.
I don't freak out when they leave anymore. Just go in the bedroom and get on the bed and take a nap. I have it made and I know it. Oh yeah, there is that classical music they put on for me....calms the spirit.
I come when called when I am having a crazy barking attack at the fence. I get lots of love and attention and being rescued is just the best.
So if anyone is having problems with a new dog, just be patient and you will have a sweetheart like me. Ok so I am not modest!
