spring is coming!

I've been going for more walks recently. Long walks too! Mum brings me to the park where I run free and play with her for at least an hour in the morning and night. We had great fun this morning, cept when I saw that mum had brought along her camera -grumbles- But, being a good boy, I posed and looked pretty... the two pictures at the bottom are from today!

Also, mum has been working on "stay" with me. I'm really good at it, but now she can place a really nummy treat on my paw (yes ON), say "Stay" and she can walk around the whole house and I won't touch it. When she is in sight, my eyes are always on her, otherwise, I just stare where I last saw her. She says I'm a really good boy :D

Recently mum has been mentioning something called "agility" to me. Don't know what it means... I'll keep you updated.

So I haven't updated in a while. Sorry! I've been quite busy! Mum has been keeping me up late to watch some of her TV shows (I've seen all the Buffy episodes now, and even watch when something vampire-ish comes on screen!) I haven't been going for many night walks recently... it's been so sloppy, but I do miss my friends. Tonight is snowy, so hopefully, if it isn't too cold, I will be able to get out. OhOh! Exciting news! Yesterday Mum dropped some cheese on the floor! Oh the excitement! It's like, I was wishing really hard that it would fall, and then there it was! Being a good boy though, I just stared at it until she said I could have it. Yummy!

fall days

It's been getting colder out recently... mum has bought my some new clothes (well, only one new sweater really) that I actually don't mind wearing. Earlier she bought me this really silly one that covered my *cough* you know... so I couldn't really go to the bathroom. That was uncomfortable.

Me and mum have been having great sleeps. Just this morning I decided it would be much warmer to jump on my big bed (where mum sleeps) and cuddle up pushed right beside her stomach. It was great! She has also taught me how to chase squirrels. Before I just kinda watched them from a distance, but now she lets me off my leash and I'm tearing down the field after them! Almost got one too... caught the little guy off guard. mwahaha!

That's it really. Not much to report on. Life has been good, and tomorrow I get some of my Performatrin Ultra stew :D So excited!

Busy days

Busy day... woke up my mum at 9:20 this morning... she was very happy cause her alarm didnt go off. I knew she would appreciate a morning lick and bark! Go me! Then she left me all alone from 10:00 - 10:40... but I was rewarded with a walk at the park where I ran and played and jumped on my logs! So fun! I was having such a great time I was barking in enjoyment... something I have recently started doing. hehe!

Then, my mum's friend's came over... I ran outside to greet them... they had such great smells on them I didn't leave them alone. One of them really likes me... she was petting me and scratching behind my ears, and the other one kinda likes me... but every time I got near her food she would eat it faster. Haha.

When they finally left (around 4-ish) I went upstairs with mum where I had a little snooze... I think mum was putting up some silly posters of some people. Apparently they are in black and white, but who could tell!? Now, after another long walk with Charlie (mum walked him tonight too) and Jake and Oreo, I'm home and ready for my snack!

I feel naked!

Thursday was interesting. I was sitting around, minding my own buisness (you know, begging for food, waiting for my walk...) when all of a sudden mum tells me we are going to the backyard. Thinking I was gonna get a new bone, I ran after her, and waited on the step. Little did I know that I was getting a haircut! She took out the shaver faster than you can say cookie and I was soon missing half of my hair. She shaved and shaved, and cut and cut... and afterwards, I was still standing in shock not knowing what had just happened. When I was finally able to get back into the house I was lighter, cooler and I must say I looked spiffier :D I was frolicking and playing cause I didn't have all that fur weighing me down.

But then the evening came. It was time for bed and I was kinda chilly. I decided I would sleep with mum on my big bed, and I curled up right beside her legs, and even tried to push some of her leg away to get more room. Gradually, throughout the night I made my way up to her chest, and leaned there. When she woke up, I was right in her face and I gave her a lick. I guess my haircut wasn't so bad in the end :)

The days are getting shorter

So now a days mum is off at school for 3 days (she worked out a schedule so she could be home with me more!) and I just sleep a lot. But this morning I decided to do something to get rid of my early morning boredom. You see, usually in the morning around 6:30am my mum's dad lets me out to do my stuff and feeds me too. Then I usually go and sleep with my mum's mum and snooze until 7:15-ish, then run into my mum's room and sleep there until 9:30 when she get's up. Not today. Today at 6:45am I found a special treat in mummy's room! I was so excited! Sitting in a plastic bag, beneath clothes and bags I smelled a yummy bullwrinkle (bull ligement) just for me! Mum must have bought it when she was at work on Sunday! Yay! So I dug through her clothes and everything else that was there and retrieved my wonderful treat! I chewed, and chewed and chewed some more... then I heard mum stirring. I looked up to see her puzzled face staring at me... it's not often that I wake her up so early... my chewing of delight must have peaked her curiousity. Well, anyways... long story short, she did end up taking it away from me (apparently she was saving it for a special treat...) but not before she let me chew it some more. It was great! After that, I just went back to sleep.

I can't wait to see what I can find tomorrow morning! Maybe there's some other goodies I didn't see yet! Yum!

crazy night, lazy day.

So last night I went for my normal evening walk to the park to meet up with my friends. My mum let me run loose (cause I'm always such a good boy)... but then I smelled something... something very yummy smelling, and I had to check it out. Oh the joy! Lots of mud and gunk mixed together, and the smell... beautiful! Well, I couldn't help but just jump right in, roll a little, and just for the sake of it, I tasted a little too. My mum was NOT pleased, but being as I looked so cute and dirty, she couldn't help but smile :) We came home, and I was immediately thrown into the tub, which I didn't understand... I mean, I smelled great!! But she put that silly scented gel on me and then I was all clean and white once again.

Today my family left me for about an hour... but I was so tired from the night before (sharing my big bed with a human... why can't she get her own?) and when they got home, I was SO happy! I went for another walk with my mum and she went to pick up my friend, Charlie... so we all walked together. It was great. Now, I'm just lazing around, waiting for my dinner and yet another walk. Maybe I can get into that mud again tonight!
