I am 16 years old today and mom is thrilled. She never thought, when she adopted me at 9 years old that I would stay with her that long. I was a puppymill breeder when mom rescued me and the vet thought I had too many problems at the time to have a long life.

I beat the odds! I am now 16, happy, still playful, completely deaf, but otherwise very healthy. Mom had bloodwork done on me recently and all my vital organs are normal, no blood pressure, no masses, no glucose, kidney or heart problems, not even a slight heart murmur!

My secret is, excellent food, lots of patience, tons of love and truck loads of hugs and kisses. BOL!
