Arrival Story: I was originally looking for a Yorkie or a Maltese and spent (my husband likes the words "obsess for" ) weeks getting information on both breeds. While doing a comparison I came across the cross breed and decided this would be perfect! I found a woman in Quebec that was advertising "Morkies". I contacted her and told her I was looking for a female, she sent me pictures of the three females she had left. I picked the one I wanted and contacted her to reserve. I arranged to meet her at Toronto. When she arrived, she proceeded to tell me..ahhh yeah by the way..I made a mistake..all of those pictures I sent you they were all males but I have a female here from another litter....if you want her take her. She reached in the cage and pull out my little Maggie. What a perfect little dog :)
Bio: Maggie has proved herself to be an amazing little dog. She picks up on anything extremely quick. She is horribly attached to "mommy" and is my shadow :) She loves everyone especially children (we should get her a kid for Xmas next year lol) She is very well socialized and loves to be around other dogs of all sizes. She is the neighbourhood dog and makes sure we stop to visit everyone that happens to be out on her walks. She can walk for hours without tiring out and yet is a calm little dog in the house. Perfect combination!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Well as you can see by our family, Maggie's sister is not another Morkie but a Maltipoo instead. There had a been a mix-up at the breeders end and she had accidently sent a Maltese x poodle instead of the Morkie I had reserved lol. Needless to say when I contacted the breeder to let her know a mistake had been made she immediately offered to drive back to Toronto with the correct dog. Well Katie (the Maltipoo) was such a little sweetie. Maggie and her get along shockingly well. This puppy was actually very close to Maggie's size right now (only 2 lbs less). Maggie likes to play hard and this puppy can almost keep up to her. After giving it some thought we decided that this little puppy is probably a better match for the Magster. She will be much bigger than Maggie when full grown but the Morkie puppy would probably only weigh about 3 lbs at this stage of the game. So we now have a Morkie and a Maltipoo instead :)
Well our little girl is growing up :) I happened to come across an ad on a local online website that was advertising for the sale of a 4 month old Morkie. She was soooo pretty. I sent the link to my husband at work and he messaged back "she's cute...we should get her"....well that's all it took for me to get rolling on this one :) Turns out that after emailing this seller over a period of a couple of days, unfortunately she turned out to be out of the range of what we wanted to spend on another dog...but hey...I figured if my husband was up for another one, why not email the breeder I got Maggie from and ask if she by chance happened to have another Morkie coming up in the next few months. She emailed me back saying she did indeed have one female right now that was a "regular" size, and would be willing to give us a substantial discount since she was our second dog purchased through her. She had a couple listed that were very small on her site and I really wanted one that would be a good sized playmate for Maggie. Needless to say, I have yet to actually even see a picture of this new puppy, but I trust the breeder so she's been reserved. She will be arriving in Toronto this coming Friday. All I know at this point is that she is cream colored and she should be 7 - 8 lbs fully grown (perfect!) Wow! 6 days to get my house puppy proofed again :) Maggie was such an amazing little puppy. She was housebroken totally within the first month after we got her. She was able to be left alone in the house for up to 8 hrs out of her crate by the time she was 5 months old and nothing was touched when we returned. She was truly amazing in her obedience classes, surprising everyone at how absolutely attentive she was. She loves everyone she sees (especially small children) She has become the neighbourhood sweet-heart and insists on visiting everyone on our walks. This new puppy will have quite the boots to fill :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well.
