I had to go to the vet last week. (I needed my rabies vaccine and some other booster shots. I was, of course, very well behaved!)
The good news is that the vet has a lot of confidence that we might have got all the cancer when the leg was amputated. He said so many people wait weeks or months to decide to amputate after receiving the diagnosis and that gives the cancer more time to spread. It was just 3 weeks from our first vet visit to the amputation surgery. Of course, this cancer typically spreads quickly to the lungs. We have to watch for me to have very labored breathing - that's how we'll know if the cancer got in there. So far so good. It's been almost 2 months since they took my leg (it went to THE Ohio State University even though I decided not to). We are just trying to enjoy every day that we have together!!
P.S. I like that little guy a lot better now. He's fun to play with! It's also fun to tell him to do bad stuff then watch him get in trouble!! BOL!

Glad they got all that nasty cancer! We're so happy! :o)
Wooohooo! We are glad to hear that the doc thinks he got all the nasty cancer! Mom is so in love with you, Jarvis! She thinks you are so very handsome. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous of that, but I know you're a real cool dude, so at least she has good taste, right?
You are so lucky to have Diablo as a little brofur! My "little" brofur is almost twice as big as me now! He's such a "good boy" too. I get so tired of Mom sayin, "Roudy, why can't you be good like your little brother, Magoo?" Ugh. I try to talk him into doing naughties, but he won't do them...sigh...wanna trade brofurs?
hehehe Roudy!! Magoo needs you! And Diablo is gonna be huge too. He's only 3 months and already over 25 lbs. There will be no room for the Mama on the bed!!!
Dis r gwate nues, Jarbis! Yu r duin' pawsumwy, my fwiend.
I r finkin' dat mabbe I need a lil' brofur, tu, cuz dis pwace r BORIN'. Bud Momma sez hur head wood 'splode :(
You are blessed with a loving family...including the "new addition" (BOL) and for that, we have total faith you will be just fine. We have held onto every word on here since your diagnosis and we are still holding on to your words and our faith!! Love and Hugs!!
Hey Zaidie...want me to send you Magoo??? BOL!!!!
BOL, Woudy!! It needs be a secwet, doe, cuz it r nod fun when Momma's hed 'splodes :D Send him ober!
I almost had a bigger little bro this weekend when the neighbors rescued a pup...actually a young adult...but...pawppy said not while we have kitties, BOL!
Those kitties of ours are ruling our roost I think.
Probably not a good idea either if growlmy keeps on working...and pawppy also thinks getting a puppy would be better.
Hope that 'C' stays away, like furevfur!
Good going on that report that you got from the vet:)
I'm so glad your doing better!
so happy that you are doing so well, and that they think they got the bad cancer.
I bet you are having a fun time watching Diablo get in trouble..BOL
Yay Jarvis! We know the amputation was not an easy decision but it was certainly the right one. We are keeping you and yours in our prayers that the cancer is dead and gone! Love you...
Good to hear that they got all the cancer. That was a very hard decision for your peeps, but the right one. Continued prayers and positive thoughts are coming your way.
You are going to be so happy today, because you also made the Diary Gal happy so she made you a DDP!
I hope you have a great day!
GREAT news Jarvis, we love hearing that. But that's not fair your leg got to go to college and you didn't. Maybe it got a scholarship or somethin'. And good job on getting Diablo in trouble. Yea, siblings are great, but it is fun to watch the little boogers do bad stuff and get caught!
Congrats Jarvis on the diary pick.
Have fun celebrating with Diablo. I'm sure that there's something you can talk him into today.
My Mom and I are happy to hear you are safe. My Mom prays for you each night and for the little guy too!
