Arrival Story:
Long Story but Basically: She was a stray -dropped off at an animal hosp because she was pregnant. Luckily, she was adopted by ANIMALS FOR LIFE (CT) (Check out for more wonderful adoptable companions; contact me for additonal info) and gave birth to 9 adorable pups at about 7 months old (who were all adopted immediately) and Chloe ended up going through several foster homes. Eventually (due to lack of foster homes available) she ended up being boarded at an animal hospital (where my friend worked & who had fostered her and her pups after she gave birth; which is how I met her). I started out fostering her, training her and falling in love w/her; then I had to adopt her. She was about a year or so old when she came to live with me, and became typical little sister to my other (older) dog, Jade, and best friends w/the cat, Amber (that she originally tried to kill). Even pitbull mixes can be trained to love other animals they have never been exposed to before!

Chloe recently lost her big sister Jade to an inoperable brain tumor, she was 12 yrs old. Chloe had lived with her for 8 years. Chloe was very depressed for a few weeks and then underwent a personality change; she has been taking on many of Jades characteristics and becoming a little guard dog. She also has been super well behaved and listens better than ever; I am able to walk her completely off leash anywhere now. I think it helped that she was in the room when Jade was put to sleep because she knew what was happening and wouldnt have to wonder what happened to her. She was way more depressed 5 years ago when Jade was in the hospital for 3 weeks because she didnt know where she was or if she was coming back. During those rough weeks, Chloe didnt eat (unless it was meat), moped on couch all day/night and her face went grey. None of those things happened this time and she seems to be adjusted in her new role.
