Arrival Story:
Ebony found us in the fall of 1980. It was the morning after the first freeze of the season (we lived in the Chicago area then). She was cold, limping, skinny, and had a very tight old leather collar on her. she came right to me, and was very sweet. We took her to our vet, he kept her under observation over the weekend, no one looked for her ,and we ended up with another wonderful dog. Our Sheltie, Tammy, was not very happy at first , but after a short time together, they really loved each other, and became inseperable. Ebony died in her sleep, of a probable heart attack, only six weeks after we moved to AL. in Aug. of 1990. She was a wonderful friend and companion, who is truly missed.
