Mommies boyfriend made her mad and well um lets just say that he learned his lessonthe hard way to not make mommy mad cuz now mommy says that he's in the doghouse! I dont know what he did but boy do I sure feel sorry for him cuz beleive me the doghouse is one place that he does NOT want to be in when it comes to mommy gettin mad. He's relized that whatever he did was wrong and is sucking up to mommy now but mommy says that he has to suffer for awhile so whatever it was it musta been pretty bad!

Alone Again
ALONE AGAIN

I wish someone could tell me
What it is that I've done wrong,
Why I have to stay chained up
And left alone so long.

They seemed so glad to have me
When I came here as a pup.
There were so many things we'd do
While I was growing up.

They couldn't wait to train me
As companion and as friend.
They told me they would never fear
Being left alone again.

The children said they'd feed me,
Said they'd brush me every day,
They'd play with me and walk me,
If only I could stay.

But now the family hasn't time.
They often say I shed.
They wont allow me in the house,
Not even to be fed.

The children never walk me.
They always say, "Not Now!"
I wish that I could please them.

5TH ANNUAL MEET YOUR MATCH ADOPTION EVENT




On Saturday, June 10th, from 10 am to 6 pm, the shelter will host our 5th Annual Meet Your Match Adoption Event. This annual summer event is one of our best ways to promote adoptions and we invite you to join us for food, fun, & fur!

Adoptable dogs, cats, rabbits & other furry critters from the shelter and local breed rescue groups will be looking for new homes. Visit informational booths to learn about all your companion animal’s needs from training to vet care, nutrition and more!

Last year hundreds of people attended this event and the shelter adopted over 60 animals during the event. The best result part was that the impact of the event was felt over the next few weeks with dozens of adoptions linked to Adoptathon attendees.

Whether you are looking to add a new companion or just need information about boarding or doggy daycare, this is the place to be!

Wag Walk

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 16th! Every dog in town will want to be at this year’s Wag Walk as we make the change from Minooka Park in Waukesha to Fox Brook Park in Brookfield, located just north of the shelter on Barker Road.

This year’s event will run from 10 am to 2 pm and will feature fun activities for adults; kids and pets that will keep your paws in motion all day long. Come for the walk but stay for the demos, raffle, food, vendor booths, micro chipping, and more!


Each year the shelter relies on the proceeds raised from the Wag Walk to:

care for homeless animals.

educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals.

promote spay/neuter to control the animal population.
*

promote the adoption of homeless animals.

That is why it is important for people to not only attend this event but also collect pledges. Top pledge collectors will qualify for a chance to win exciting prizes! Dogo

Mom saw your posts and I must say she was hurt by them! I beleive that in a previous diary entry I said something like "You can't talk unless you've been there before" well guess what? Most of you haven't and the few that have are just won't admit! Mom tried to rehome me personaly but the couple intrested never called back and she kept me up until the week before her family moved! She tried everything to turn me around except for a trainer because that was out of the question financialy! You guys said PF was bad? Well just from lurking around there I can tell they've tamed themselves and you just got WORSE than them! NOBODY's the perfect dog owner like you think you all are! Plus like most kids she had to listen to her parents and they said cuz of my SA I couldn't go with them so she had no choice! They didn't move to a house they moved to an APARTMENT!!! See you guys are always encouraging people to surrender animals that people can't handle to rescues well not everyone has to luxury of having a rescue near them! Plus were Cinco was is a NO KILL!!! You guys bash me all you want but I seem to recall half of you getting bashed for stupid dog related stuff you did! Oh btw if someone wanted certain forums to know they rehomed a pet I'm sure they'd post about it themselves at those forums! No wonder why all the kids are leaving you and Freckles won't sign up! What would you do if you were in my shoes? Let someoneelse try to give a better life where someone's always home with a yard? Or cram him in an apartment? Walk a mile in my shoes and think about it!

I got adopted!

Mom just went to the Elmbrook Site and saw that I was ADOPTED YAY!!!

Rehomed but still loved

Well as some pups know I have SA and well with moving mom couldn't handle me destroying stuff anymore so she talked to her mom and dad and they agreed that since they had to go into an apartment(mom knew i wouldn't be happy cramed in an apartment) Grandpa took me to the no kill HS I came from. That morning before mom left she gave me a hug and kisses on my head and nose and told me she loved me and would never forget me no matter what. She also says that although she got to the point where she couldn't keep me that there isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't regret adopting me. We both agree that god meant for us to be together for a short time for her to show me that someone cares enough to try to train me(she tried for a year and halph and everything she tried worked for awhile then I would go back to my old ways) and I beleive I was meant to show her that big dogs can love just as much as little dogs. Mom is keeping me on dogster. I may not post much on the forums but Pmail me.

I got stuck!

Dear Journal,

I had to goto the doggy doctor lastnight! I was just sitting on the floor giving her luvins and wiggling my happy crazy glutiousmaximus and do you know what she did? She jabbed me with a needle! Not once but twice! Once for rabies and once for distemper. The NERVE!!! Thats the last time I try to be nice to her!!!

On Saturday mom says I'm getting a harnass and I get to meet a doggy named Thor! Then Next Friday I get to go back to see him for his birthday! He's going to be 13 years old. Mom said he's a Samoyed!

I'm home!

Thats right and I don't want to go back to that horrible place again! Mom cried all lastnight cuz I wasn't there to lay in bed with her and protect her. I had to stay overnight at the shelter because I got in and it was almost close when my family called them to see if I was there(I had just been checked in). Mom doesn't want to know what I went through lastnight since I have SA! Mom said that when she got there she heard a dog barking and knew it was me!(I guess moms realy do know everything) they had to cut my collar off because it was to tight(it wasn't,mom uses the two finger rule using her fingers.) so grandpas going to put another hole or two in tomorrow because mom can fit four fingers in now.Also why can't anyone say my name right? The lady at city hall called me Cinca, the shelter staff called my Sysco and the little girl down the street called my Kinko(ok so that one's cute and pretty darn good for her age!) and some people even call me Chiko or WORSE CHIKA(thats a GIRLS name!). Atleast my name gets spelled right though. Everyone murders Dahlila's name. Well thats all for now. Thought I'd update you and tell you I was safe at home.

Training

Mom here-

I love my Cinco boy a lot but sometimes I wish that his old owners worked with him more! I have to train him all the commands that *MOST* dogs learn as puppies like sit,down,stay,come etc. But Cinco is 2YEARS OLD!!! He should be learning things like "find it" or shake! The shelter did do some training with him but with all the other animals at the shelter there's only so much they can do. I feel like I'm training a puppy here!

Elmbrook needs our help!

The nice shelter that took me in after my old "humans" dumped me there is sooo kind and caring that they have taken in 15 dogs from the gulf coast area that was hit by the hurricane. Although most our already up for adoption, many tested + for heartworm and other diseases. Elmbrook Vet. Clinic has teamed up with them to help these poor babies but they really need adopters and foster homes. www.ebhs.org. HAWS may also need help. www.hawspets.org.

Learning a Lesson

With all the fakes coming and going moms been making sure to stroll through the new dogs often to make sure none of our pics have been stolen and has bookmarked all our pages to make sure they are not being messed with. Us pups(meaning Blacky,Dahlila,Max and myself) on the other hand have been learning that the more we tell dogsterers to stear clear of "guest" posts the more respect all dogs and their humans have for us and mom. It has also since been learned that the 2 perpratraters are kids younger than mom. I mean mom says she was more mature when she was that age. Mom also hopes that Blackie dog(not our BlackY) dog didn't steal Blacky's pics. Whoever put DEAD in their dogs name is sick!

Mom and her friend (see Freckles the Brittany) had a wonderful idea. That dogsters in or around the Waukesha, WI area could have a get together. Just a thought.

Snow!!!

It snowed here yesterday! I've been waiting ALLLLL year just to charge that white blanket on the ground outside! But mom says have to till we get more snow to charge it! :(

I turned 2 on Tuesday November 1st,2005! Wow I can't beleive how long I've been here with my mom!

Grandpa mad mommy mad!!!

Whats happened to him??? 6 months ago he LOVED me but know he can't stand AND Dahlila!!! He's even asked mommy to choose between him and us(mom chose us over him) she don't even want him in her life anymore! Moms friend wanted to do something today and mom had to say because her dad was dumbbutt because everywhere she went he said she had to take us! Um hello earth to dumbbutt you can't take pets to the mall! She's even given me and Dahlila permission to bite him! Moms sad now and when she's sad I'm sad :,( She's even thinking of possibly rehomeing us in the future.

Oh yea I'll be 2 on Nov. 1st!

New Idea!

Mom gots a few Ideas today! 1st she thought we could have a card exchange for the holidays! 2nd for each and every dog that corrals me or anyone in my family mom will give them a treat!

On a side note-Mom decided to clean out this cave thing in her room that she calls a closet! Any stuffed toys she doesn't use she is going to donate to the shelter! Sure she has 2 dogs in the house to give them to and she justs decides to give them to some stranger doggies at the shelter! But I feel for them not having hardly any toys!

Wag Walk!

2 many pets

My grandma called my moms grandma to see if she wanted to give mom $5 for the Wag Walk on Saturday and somehow she found out that we got a Lizzie and she's all saying that 3 animals are 2 much! Mom was just like and this has to do with the wag-walk how? It's none of their barking bussiness why my family has me and 2 other dogs! Lizzie is part of the family now and if they don't like it then they can forget about my mommy being part of their family! If the 2 youngest kids in the family asked for money for something stupid she'd fork it out right away! She'd even give them $50.00! When moms lucky if she barking $5! Another thing that mom is mad about is that grandma and grandpa took it to a bar they goto once in awhile and they got $10 for the shelter from everyone who donated and she don't know these people hardly at all but yet they give her money and yet her own grandma gives her doggly squat! Well mom ain't visiting her tomorrow night like she was going to. She's one of the people mom is going to not contact in a few years any more than she has to!

Big Mean Monster!!!!!!

This morning when mommy was asleep me and Dahlila came into her room and suddenly we heard this noise so I ran to the window to see what it was and and and....it was a giant grass murdering machine! I didn't know what else this thing was capable of killing so I sprang up on the bed and plopped down right next to mommy and stuck my nose right in her face saying "It's ok mommy I'm here so know grass eater will hurt you!" Well mommy says it's just a lawn mower! I don't care what it was! All I know is that it was big,mean and scary and despite my own fear of it I was protecting my family! I don't wants nothing eating mommy,Dahlila,Lizzie or me!

I have secrete but I can't tell ya yet because my sweetheart(and you know who are ;)) may read this!!! Anyways this secrete surprise is going to happen soon. It's surprise for Fluffernutter so if ya already know then DON'T tell her or else I'll send my pirate crew out after ye!!! Arr! If ya want to know then PM me!!! The only doggies that know so far are Dahlila and Harley when he reads his PM Dahlila sent him!

Woof! Sup dogsters? Not much here. Hey guess what! Give up? Well my pic got pic of the day over on pupforum! We had a real big storm lastnight and tv said that it may produce a TORNADO! For the life of me I cannot figure out what the heck the other four legged animal in the house besides Dahlila and me. It looks just like me! It's black and white only the ears stick up and mine flop over! I often find mommy talking to her but I wonder is she knows the thing can't speak? The closest thing it does to speaking is it goes "Meow,Meow" whatever that means? And she also likes going after mine and Dahlilas tails! :S

Wow!

Wow I can't beleive I have found some friends that live in Wisconsin! 1 or 2 are even in Waukesha and not far away from me! I should see if they wants to haves a play-date some time! If thar mommies fink it's ok though ofcoarse!

New tricks

Mom decided to work on my obediance today. Not only do I have sit mastered but I'm also getting the hang of lay down and stay! I'm so proud of myself! Mom is also trying to teach me Bang-Bang(aka play dead) and shame!

Yay! Lots of Good news!

The annual Elmbrook Humane society "wag-walk" is coming 9/17/05 to Minooka bark! I get to go with mommy. Not sure if it's just going to be mommy/son bonding time or if the family is going but me and Freckles had a blast in the lake(see pic with me and her in a big blue wet thing) and grandpa got a new truck! An 05 dodge durango! Mommy updated our pics for the dogs and will start on Lizzies right after I'm done updating my diary! Gotta run mommy wants to update the kitty's pictures!
