Arrival Story:
We miss Trixie dearly! Trixie was with us for 11 years and passed away in 2002, just 5 days before Christmas. It was one of the saddest times in our lives. Although she wasn't very friendly to anyone who she didn't live with, she bought our family great joy. We are uncertain why Trixie died. One day she was fine, and the next day she couldn't walk. After taking her to the vet several times in a week, we got a phone call from the vet on the Friday before Christmas telling us they had just received the blood results from Trixie's blood work and we needed to get her a blood transfusion immediately. Five minutes after she received a blood transfusion, we were forced to make the decision to put Trixie down. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. She is truly missed!!
