why can't I just keep my mouth shut???

Well last night was unpleasant. I was at the university campus with Sweet Pea, waiting patiently for the queen bee to finish milling her wood. Well finally after listening to the jointer and planer run for what seemed like hours, she decided to take us for a walk on campus. I love that campus, so much space and so pretty. Well towards the end of the walk I saw a grumpy man so I barked at him. WELL that pissed him off and he continued to RANT at her - "Excuse me, is that your dog? You know you should LEASH your dogs on this property. You're sorry? well thats not enough.Hey are you listening to me?? do you speak english? I am talking to you. Oh, you're deaf - oh SORRY. Yes I see you have them back on leashes,well I am still talkin to you. Well did you know that if your dog barks that is classified as an Aggressive Dog? And I can call campus police right now. And you WILL get fined. And if that dog nipped at me, can you say LAWSUIT? What are you doing here on this campus? Are you a student here? you know students cannot bring dogs here. Oh, you say... what? Do you work here? Oh you do, do you? Well I can get you fired if I reported this to campus police. So keep those dogs leashed. Are we cool now? I know you said you were sorry. ok are we cool?"

That guy obviously needs a dog to keep him happy.

Ok I decided that I hate water

Today we went to the beach - coronado, to be exact - its Sweet Pea's favorite place - we also had Colby with us. Now I had been there once before and I was scared of the water. I got splashed by one wave once and I don't go near the water anymore. And I am still scared of water. Colby and Sweet Pea love the water, and I just don't get it. Sweet Pea makes me frustrated because I try to chase her and just when I am about to catch her, she heads for the water, danggit, and then I stop short.

Monkey's Moth and a new dog park

Egads Monkey and I found this scary looking thing last night, a moth, fricking HUGE. Monkey was possessed, trying to catch it, and one time it flew in my face and it scared the heck out of me. I'm such a scaredy cat, er dog.

The other day me, SweetPea and DeAnza went to a new dog park. well it wasn't new but it was the first time I've been there, we went to Grape Street Dog Park, wow what a lot of fun, lots and lots of other dogs, there must have been at least 100 dogs there!! Everyone was pretty friendly and there were lots of poop bags available. However QB played a nasty trick on me, I guess I kept running off and so she and Sweet Pea hid behind a big tree, and at some point after I finished being a smartass, I realized I couldn't find my pack. god I panicked, I was so worried that they left me, I went to see if the car was still there, and then ran all around the park. Then I saw Sweet Pea Deanza and QB hiding behind that tree. I was so mad but I was so glad to see them that I forgot about being mad. I won't be running off again.

Ut Oh

I don't know what possesses me to rip stuff apart - I can't help myself. found a piece of upholstery foam and ripped it into a million pieces all over the backyard. Left a mess and I can tell that the queen bee was PISSED OFF - she was back there with her pajamas picking it all up, swearing up and down and before her coffee.

Doesn't she know that its BAD to swear??

I just realized that I am the only one in the family with ears that don't stick up. And other than the cat, I am the only one with a long tail. Queen Bee noticed that my tail slaps against her legs like a whip. Deanza doesn't have a tail at all, and Sweet Pea's tail curls up. The Queen Bee loves turning my ears inside out!

I am also realizing that human guys sort of freak me out - not sure why. their low voices, their size? I mean, I LIKE them once I get to know them but I dunno.

I like women better. When a woman comes to the door I am all over them trying to kiss them and stuff but when the guys come over I'm barkin' like a maniac.

came across this dogster site so I guess nothing will be a secret for me anymore. actually I have been a handful and the queen bee of the house decided that this would be a good way to get info about my particular idiosyncracies - I can't help that the oldest dog is a PhD who knew a million commands and the other just was so perfect with no real bad habits. I can't help that I chewed up the sofa, all the toys, three quilts, and one down pillow.

Being a rescue I am more skittish and shy with strangers and so that the queen bee always has parties and friends and students coming over - that has taken some adjustment but I am quickly learning to be the life of the party.

Any German Shorthaired pointer info would be appreciated - I am half GSP!
