Arrival Story:
he's kringle and emo's son!

lafayette passed away two days after sebastian, his brother. we didn't know what caused it. the night before he died (july 5, 2005), he refused to eat and looks a bit weak. it was just then that i saw that he lost a lot of weight. the next day, he started throwing up and excreting blood and had a seizure. we rushed him to the nearest vet where he was put on dextrose. he had three more seizures before we decided to rush him to where his doctor was. besides, we didn't to leave him alone since we had to go to work (my mom, sister, and i). i knew he was in great pain. his breathing was rapid and he was crying softly the whole time. on our way to his vet, he had a seizure again while he was being held by my sister. this time, he started barking and twitching harder than before. we were all calling out his name telling him to fight it. but his mouth started to foam then he stretched. he open his mouth then his tongue hung out. it was almost white. then he stopped moving. we laid him on a pillow but he wasn't breathing anymore. by the time we got to the vet, he was already stiff as a board. :( we didn't know why this had to happen. it's only been two days. we haven't even got over sebastian's death yet. the other three are currently confined in the clinic (balthazar, achilles, ichiban). the remaining three were sent home and under observation. the first doctor said it might be parvovirus or coronavirus. the second vet (their doctor) said lafayette's death might be caused by distemper. balthazar parvovirus test result was negative, meaning the rest would most probably be negative too. please pray for our puppies. we don't want and just cannot lose another one. :(
