My pet parents are a bit worried about me being neutered tomorrow. I am not going to be able to visit the dog park for two weeks and will be bouncing off the walls.

Pet Parent Scare- The Dishtowel Incident

I gave my pet parents a big scare upon returning from vacation.

One evening, while I was sleeping, one of my pet parents went upstairs for a minute. She thought it would be safe to leave me, since I was so zonked out on the living room floor. When she came back downstairs, she noticed I had swiped a dishtowel from the kitchen counter. After a game of chase, the other pet parent noticed that a long strand of dishtowel was missing-- they didn't know how I could have swallowed that big hunk. They thought it would come out the other end since I was able to swallow it. I vomited all week and they didn't know why this was happening. A few hundred dollars later, two visits to the vet, and a change in diet just wasn't cutting it until I finally vomited the knotted strand of dishtowel. Now I realize why they are so neurotic about my health and safety.

My Travels

I am now nineteen months and living the good life! Recently, I vacationed in Bar Harbor, Maine and enjoyed my first kennel stay. At first, it felt like I was being incarcerated because my pet parents dropped me off like a hot potato. Eventually, I got accustomed to it and my pet parents are now over their neurosis about leaving me in a kennel. My pet parents could visit and take me out whenever they missed me. They were very happy when they returned me to the kennel and my tail was wagging. During vacation, I visited Cadillac Mountain and Jordon Pond in Acadia National Park. I also shopped in Bark Harbor, a pet store for dogs. The Portland Head Lighthouse was beautiful.

I have also visited Peddler's Village, PA and Deep Creek Lake, Solomon's Island, and Oxford in Maryland. I have even been camping. I am looking forward to visiting more places in the future--especially the beaches. It's a wonderful life!
