Arrival Story:
My dad adopted Fuzzy from SPCA in 1998. He was then named Arthur and was classified wrongly as a Fox Terrier. My brother named him Fuzzy because he had a "fuzzy" look and responded to the name. Couple of years back, we did more research on his breed and found him to be a Lakeland Terrier. When I got married, my parents gave Fuzzy to keep us company.

Today, my owners brought me to see the vet for a medical check-up. Dr Darling gave me a clean bill of health. A health certificate was a pre-requisite to be certified as a Therapy Dog. Yes! My owners felt that I would be suitable and had the aptitude to be one. A Therapy Dog is a volunteer/befriender to the less fortunate, with the aim to provide comfort and companionship.

This is not the end. I had to take a temperament and aptitude test, assessed by a dog trainer. Phew! I passed or I know my owners will be disappointed. I have to live up to their expectations < Singapore standard>. Throughout the test, I could see that they were more stressed than me. I took it easy 'cos the tests were chicken feet.

Anyway, after the test I had a treat. My owner sent me for my first hydrotherapy session, to exercise my right hind leg. The swim will make me healthier and stronger. But goodness, it did made me feel tired after just 15 mins of non-stop paddling. I enjoyed the cold water and paddling. I'm already looking forward to my next session.
